The hair is beautiful, and I was contemplating going back to relaxer but after watching this and being reminded of the lack of texture when the hair is wet, I've been encouraged to just keep mine natural and silk press when I want it strait. Thanks!

Beautiful work but after looking at some of the comments I real must say too many of us don’t go to a professional for relaxer services. We’re asking questions that should be left for the professionals. Natural or relaxed you need to see a professional regularly for trims and deep conditioning treatments. Just remember some products are sold to professional only for a reason.
O, her hair turned out so healthy & beautiful. I'm enjoying staying natural for only 5 years now! Although, I was tempted a few times to go back 2 relaxer. I'm so glad I stuck it out. My hair hasn't felt this good since I was 8 years old! The longer it gets the more manageable it gets. It just feels so liberating.

I'm so happy 😊 for you.. I'm glad you're hair is healthy... I'm also happy that we're now embracing our hair in any state, any form, relaxed, or natural.. I'm big on do what's best for you. If you enjoy being natural embrace it! love it! at all length.. if you enjoy being relaxed I say definitely go to a professional to get it done, but go ahead and enjoy that as well. Your hair can be healthy and long as well..😊 thank you for watching my video and I'm glad you loved it
Yes, after cosmetology school and working as an assistant in a salon for 3yrs I can only do a relaxer service correctly. I’ve seen and heard enough horror stories. Beautiful job 💕

The track list!!❤️❤️
In the earlier days, I did go back and forth from relaxer to natural as with most stories I had my first relaxer at 10, so I was tired of the chemical, and over the years, my hair got to the point where it didn't even relax anymore. I came into true acceptance and celebration of the beautiful texture that naturally grows out of my head and I just don't have the desire for a relaxer anymore.

Thanks for this video. I haven't had relaxed hair since the year 2006. The beautician I trusted retired. Tonight I did my relaxer and it turn out well. I have been wanting to do this. Thanks for your tips. I'm so happy to let go of the tight curls or hair reverting after a silk press within three days for me. I have all the equipment to keep up with deep conditionesr and hot oil treatment and maintenance through the weeks and months. I'm so happy now, I have no plans to use much heat.

You're so welcome I'm so happy this video gave you great tips and yes it's nothing wrong with being relaxed just make sure you take care of your relaxed hair and be gentle and it will retain length and grow 😊
I went to a salon down in Ft. Lauderdale FL about 6 months ago to relax my beautiful, thick natural hair. It was a NIGHTMARE experience! The owner had a trainee applying the chemicals, worst tragedy ever! This ignorant girl had an attitude, just mad about something and that wanch took it out on the way she did my hair. She was getting the relaxer everywhere and I had to constantly wipe it off and tell her that she's getting it everywhere. She ran out of relaxer before finishing my whole head and took her time mixing a new batch. At the end, my hair was way over relaxed, too straight and started breaking within weeks and that's with using the Oliplex. Thank God I don't have a problem cutting my hair and starting over and that's exactly what I did. Lesson learned! Never go to a salon where they will let flunkies experiment on your head. I don't trust anyone but myself to do my hair going forward. But this lady seems to really care about her clients hair and did a great job. Never again will anyone put their hands in my hair! And that's on PERIOD!

Absolutely all my stylists when I was relaxed based the scalp. Most professional relaxers have a scalp base. The only thing I avoided was heat right after the relaxer. Got a roller set or air dried until the follow up wash. Great job TFS

Going to salons cause me to loose hair..Getting braids when natural cause me to thinning edge's. Only myself in my head😊
I have seen some stylist leave the hair partially textured, which I am sure may be the client's preference, but these results are evenly relaxed.

Yes from my heavy research, study, and years of experiences you must have slight pattern to the hair you shouldn't bone straight the hair definitely not the gold with a relaxer you should have a slight texture in there and then you just straighten it out with the straightener.

When I went back to relaxed hair my Beautician left texture in my hair. When I do my hair btw appts my hair waves and gets curly on its own so I just apply my leave in and Design Essentials curling cream and let it dry on its own and I have my perfect style.
The results are absolutely gorgeous! You put a lot of care into her hair. I have two questions, which # olaplex product did you add to the product, and how long did it take you to apply the relaxer start to finish?

Tbh I so miss relaxers but my hair seems to break off so bad with them. Even when stylist do it. I’m sure it’s me not nourishing my strands ( THEN) I however have learned so much about what my hair needs to thrive. Her hair came out beautifully. I’m kinda tired of the hassle to style my natural hair after long periods and it doesn’t give what I was hoping it to give.

Without seeing your hair in person I cannot give you advice curated for your hair. But here are some suggestions. Start off with a visit to a salon that will more than likely result in you getting a cut. May even be a big chop. From there I would suggest you do protein treatments every two weeks or at least once a month. Here's the process and product recommendations. my2goldenhands.blogspot.com/2022/03/Protein%20Treatment.html. Do not put any chemicals on your hair for about a year to allow all the color to grow out. During that time do twist outs, braids, anything low manipulation. After that year then visit the idea of a relaxer. I do not recommend beauty supply relaxers. I recommend you go to a licensed professional for that service. They should have you come back every 12-14 weeks for retouches and hair maintenance. I hope this helps :)
Hi!! I’m getting a virgin relaxer dec 7th😬I am super nervous I bleached and colored my hair in august plus this will be my first ever relaxer 😅😅😅what preparations do you recommend?
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
7 ай бұрын
I always let my clients know when it comes to chemicals. Only pick one. So that means if you do? Have permanent color in your hair. Allow it to completely grow out before you get a relaxer. Is definitely my professional opinion..
Great work. Which number Olaplex do you put in the relaxer?

Should I shampoo my hair and dry it before relaxer? Or do it on dirty hair? I just took out braids
@BehindTheScenesM2GH

If you just took out braids I suggest you do a protein treatment and wait two weeks after then a relaxer. But you should go to a licensed professional for chemical services. Here's the process for a protein treatment. my2goldenhands.blogspot.com/2022/03/Protein%20Treatment.html
Hi which olaplex did you mix into the relaxer?
@BehindTheScenesM2GH

Olaplex number one is the bond multiplier.
I was natural for years and I put a relaxer in and now my hair breaking and shedding. Do I need to get all of olaplex hair products or just some products cause they are high. Please help
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
Жыл бұрын
My usual course of after care for virgin relaxer is protein treatments. Without you in my chair I can't confirm. But I can say doing a protein treatment before moving to Olaplex won't hurt. Please see my blog on protein treatment with product recommendations. my2goldenhands.blogspot.com/2022/03/Protein%20Treatment.html. Usually Olaplex is used with the relaxer service and you do need all steps. So I would go with a 6 week protein treatment coupled with a cut or trim depending on what is needed. Every two weeks do the protein treatment. You should see changes after 3 rounds (6 weeks). Hope that helps :)
how long stay strenght the hair? after how many days to wash the hair again?
