Right. I prefer straight hair to curly hair (using heat tools, a heat protectant and oil on the ends). Before COVID I was getting it trimmed. I get criticized because I don’t really care for my curly hair because my hair is fine and gets tangled easily. Having straight hair is easier to deal with.

I'm in my 50's and have had my hair relaxed since I was 17. I have never looked back since the day I first relaxed it, and I have ZERO regrets. Menopause is a little rough, but my hair is almost down to my hips. For all you "naturals" out there, do your thang! If you like it, I love it. I've been natural for a bout a 2 years now. It's takes a lot to keep the curls nice. Definitely takes for ever to detangle. I'm thinking about relaxing my hair.

Love this. Im natural, after 30 something years of relaxing. I had no problems with relaxing, ever. Just older now and wanted something different. I wish people would stop 'attacking' people and let them make their own choices. Her hair looks good! This video was good thanks.

I stopped coloring and relaxing my hair about 9yrs ago but I’m 70 and I’ve done it all. I don’t begrudge anyone else for the styles they choose. Her hair looks beautiful and it’s her hair to wear as she chooses.

That’s it. I’m going back to the creamy crack. This crack is so good. Whew and affirm at that. Best relaxer.

I would consider another straightening treatment since the chemicals in relaxers are horrid I have a keratin treatment for about 6 yrs (I am natural now) and it worked really well and isn’t as bad for your body

I relax my hair, so it's fun to see these types of clients too! I have super fine, super coiled hair so natural styles are too difficult with my lifestyle to maintain without damaging eventually

I always hated when stylist tried to straighten my already Straight relaxed hair 😩 I’m currently transitioning not because I hate relaxed hair but because I finally have the courage to want to discover what my natural hair looks like ❤️

If you relax your hair I recommend taking a hair, skin and nails vitamin with Biotin, Keratin, hyaluronic acid and collagen in it.

Monique Greaves These vitamins help grow your hair. Relaxers can cause breakage but with these supplements it will help maintain your hair from breaking and it will grow your hair. Fish Oil supplements, Bone Broth Collagen and Aloe Vera juice which I didn’t mention earlier makes your hair thicker.

One Styling Epic lite blowdryer is good. It's lightweight weighs less than a pound. You can choose between positive or negative ions for volume or sleekness . Great for relaxed and natural hair. It's ceramic and less damaging.

Oh the smell...I'm not here for any negative comments but perms over the years made my hair beautiful but so very thin over time.

Same here !!! I loved how the perms would make my hair but perms just alwaaayss thinned out my hair , not matter how much I tried to take care of it😔

I had a girlfriend in college with thick course hair like hers. She had to get super perms. Her hair would revert back after a few weeks.

Your hair can be relaxed & healthy just like you can be natural, damaged & unhealthy, like I am now. I think I’m ready for that creamy crack. Love it🤍

In my country we do a roller set and the thw blowdryer that way the hair turns out more oportunities to not fall off.

I must say thank you :), you are the first stylist I have seen apply relaxer appropriately. And if I told you not to let relaxer anywhere on my scalp even with smoothing, I think you can make it work instead of saying-oh it won't be all straight, who cares about that 0.1cm I think as long as the scalp is prepped before and also ensure no chemical on scalp during application, using relaxer is a breeze.

I jusr subbie because of how she treat her client & her hair & the nice nice way in which she talk about the kitchen of her hair. ! Very long story i grow my hair out for 12 years & went to a STRANGER STYLIST to have my hair silk press! She wreck my hair. Even as me to shave my kitchen& fool i am allow her to shave the back of my hair. I thought it was something new being done. Burn my nateual hair, comb my wet hair from ROOTS TO ENDS I DID ASK ABOUT IT & SHE FELT SHE IS THE STYLISTS& I 2AS NOT & SHE KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING!. 12 YEARS OF TOTAL CHEMICALS , FREE, I RESTRAIN MY SELF FOR SOMEONE TO DESTROYS YEARS OF SELF SACRIFICE. I & MY GIRLFRIENDS ARE IN STUN SHOCK! WHEN SHE WAS WASHING MY HAIR & COMMENT ON IT BEING THICKS, 4c's hair)& long i should have left then hair WET & ALL. FOOL I WAS!. SO 😥. grace to all. gh

Idk why natural hair nazis thinks that straightening out your hair automatically equals anti blackness and that you’re ashamed of your natural hair, like personally I get relaxers because my hair is easier to maintain when it is in that state. I can’t spend hours trying to detangle and manage my hair, too stressful.

But is her hair damaged? I don’t know so I’m asking. Hair seems very limp and stringy when wet.

Christine Maynard perms and relaxer treat the hair different to say it damages the curl pattern is false it would be correct in saying it alters the natural curl pattern

Cyrious relaxers permanently change your curl pattern by breaking the di-sulfide bonds in the cortex of hair- an entire layers of her hair shaft has been destroyed. Of course relaxers are damaging to the hair but to each their own

HI there! Great video. In case you are still looking, the Speed Freak blow dryer by Rusk is amazing. I'm a stylist as well and I love that the "medium" temperature setting also gets the hair pretty straight for styling. Even natural hair gets pretty straight. The wind power on it is really good. I buy mine from the Cosmo Prof store, but I've seen it in TJ Maxx/ Marshalls. It sells for $50 more or less, but well worth it. Thanks for sharing and thank your client for allowing us to watch!

She might need to let that relaxer go. He hair so thick at the roots but thin at the ends and her nape breaking off.

mamacita luv some people want silky straight hair for convenience reasons. Everyone isn’t good at maintaining their hair in its natural state and some people have busy schedules. Everything doesn’t revolve around white peoples standards. And this is coming from a natural.

I was a silver bird girl too, but it was so heavy. I switched to the Paul Mitchell neuro dryer and I love it.

@@thequeenicee8835 yep, im in NY & was just about 2 write the same thing..are u in Queens? If yes, not sure if u know, but wen they do open, it'll be ONLY 3 ppl aloud at a time, plus aside frm masks, u MUST wear gloves! Ppl will be quite annoyed & lines will be long! 😖😩

You did a good job on her hair. Based off of the tightness of her hair in the back of her head, I'm sure her hair would be beautiful if she was relaxer free.

Actually that texture in the back made me understand why she’s relaxed. those curls would be a struggle, it can be done if you want to but I understand giving up 😆

Why are people so caught up on relaxer free, as long as you take care of your hair, that's all that matters

I also have relaxed hair.My health doesn’t allow me to maintain or go natural.However people see my hair and the thickness and don’t believe that I’m relaxed. I don’t know if that supposed to be a compliment or a diss
