How To DETANGLE Natural Hair! Your Hair Will Get THICKER!! | Tips |Responding to Subs.| Pt. 2| 2024

Keep It Simple!
* In this video, when I mentioned the hair is dry, I mean the hair is not as moisturized as it would be on wash day. I spritz water on the hair prior to combing. You will see the hair bounce/shrink up when I let it go due to the moisture from spritzing with water.

Why attempt to detangle her hair if its DRY?? you said dry so many times, and dry hair means that its not in a healthy state. why not add moisture to save stress on the strands, even if no breakage it can cause strands to become weak

That was completely backwards!!!! You do NOT start at the roots. Please viewers do not do what she’s doing. You are supposed to start combing from the ends and work your way up to the scalp detangling as you go.

Nice demo, our curly hair is actually stronger when dry and more fragile when wet. This is how I detangle if I use a wide tooth comb or I finger de-tangle.....GAME CHANGER

I would have like to have seen how much hair was lost combing your way root to tip and the reverse tip to root.

That is the way I like to detangle, starting from the roots or halfway up and then dragging the hair down very gently

I've been feeling that brushes rip up my ends, and this perfectly explains why, thanks!! I'm also a big fan of using a long tooth comb (I use the one from revair) to detangle. Starting at the roots and gently working down works for me, but only if I wet detangle.

Over the past few years with my natural hair I have had a few problems with detangling. So I tried finger detangling but after I noticed that my hair would be very tangled and it would get me frustrated. So I saw a video about how finger detangling isn't the best and I tried using a comb similar to yours and yes I did get out tangles but I keep seeing small hairs that broke off and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Excellent tips and I learned so much! The way you demonstrated and provided the tools for a strong visual, gave me the understanding instantly of the Why's and Why nots of detangling me hair for length retention. I wished that I'd had an Auntie or other loving family member to care for my hair as I was growing up. The women in my family especially my mom raked through my hair and caused tremendous breakage and damage. They had my hair length at my ears.
