My grandmom was from Mississippi, Yazoo, and she kept my hair the same way. She was born in 1920, so you know I got the old old school treatment. She passed in 2007. I miss her.

I use oil for the take down, it works! The braid comes undone with oil like it was designed to do. We must learn how to care for our glorious manes. It takes time, attention and lots of patience! Thank you for this! We do grow long, strong and healthy hair but ignorance abounds as to just how! No matter what products used the trick is to treat it like fine spun gold and to give it positive touch! 💕

Hello MrsNikiPoo Lampkin! Thanks for your encouraging words! I guess the negative comments come with the territory...lol And yes I agree, the rubber bands and water work for me. In regards to the excessive spraying water, the water is protecting the hair strands from the tips of the teeth in comb and the friction of my fingers, which is preventing breakage and it's FREE! I'm going to do a Q & A video for this video that will include close up demonstrations and detailed information. FYI.... This video is actually a follow-up video regarding growing my daughter's nape. I am a happy new subscriber because of this video! I used your process yesterday with Miranda, our eight-year-old, and I can only describe it as a success! It was a success, because not only has she always dreaded having her hair washed and fixed, I dreaded doing it. Before using your process, she would say, "ouch!" many times as I tried to detangle her extremely thick hair. She didn't complain once as I fixed her using your process! Before, when I would be finished with her hair, she would have so much shed hair - about the size of a large tangerine! Luckily for her, she has very thick hair and the shedding wasn't noticeable. When I finished her hair yesterday using your process, her shed hair was the size of a small grape! When I showed it to her, she gave me a hug! Again, thank you for posting your videos. We are sticking with your process, because it works in SO many ways, making Miranda's wash day a pleasant experience for both of us!

Inspire Strength yes warm water and if you do use hot not hotter than you can take it on your skin. Just like skin it can break, dry out n etc. And, cold Will make it hard n brittle so nice n comfortably warm n soothing temp and care. Big teeth combs first then a combing type brush to a smoothing together hair brush always starting from the bottom very end slowly working up to the head then scalp' s roots 1, 2 or 3 ins at a time. And if a lot of hair comes out but you didnt yank sbap or pull out your hair then that is just dead hair that shed on it's own n will be replaced on it's own so it's just letting you know it's alive n actually growING! Good Luck! ...n good growing

My hairstyle of choice is the twists shown in the video and two braided pigtails. I’m 12.5 inches in the front, 11.5 in the back and 11.5 on the sides of my hair, by years end if the Lord’s will, I hope to retain about 3-4 inches more and be around 14-15 inches, my goal is 23 inches or more. Instead of using Hollywood olive oil just use EVOO( extra virgin olive oil) from grocery store? Saves u some money. Do the same thing if you use coconut oil. Any oil that can be used internally and externally I get from the grocery store not the beauty supply store.

Hello DeeDee Honey! Thanks for the compliment! Yes, shampoo, water, and oil is all we need to grow our natural hair. All I basically have to do is spread the hair apart with my fingers when I'm re moisturizing or pre-pooing her hair. I was initially using the ORS Hair Moisturizing Hair Lotion to re-moisturize her hair, but have found that it causes her hair to curl up and cause tangles if I don't get a chance to re-moisturize her hair every 2 to 3 days. The water and oil works best regardless of how often I re-moisturize. This prevents A LOT of breakage. FYI.... This is a follow-up video regarding growing my daughter's nape. Here is the link for the initial video "How To Grow A Child's Hair Long & Thick in Less Than Two Years". kzread.info/dash/bejne/aIRsqdKOmMS7pMo.html Please check out the description box for links to additional videos regarding products and my process and techniques. Hi Kandie Wade! I've posted videos of my process when I transition. The hardest part about transitioning is the knots and tangles you will experience. You will have to treat each (natural/relaxed) hair type differently because natural hair don't like chemicals and relaxed hair does. I suggest keeping the hair deep conditioned. The ORS Hair Mayo worked great for me. Please watch my transitioning videos for additional info. Let me know if this was helpful.

Mix oil with the water, and spray the ponytails every 2 days the cotton won’t get stuck to the hair, when you take loose it will soft and tangled. It will also keep longer and frizz up so quickly. The hair could stay 2 weeks, that’s a lot of hair for a weekly do. It’s works on my hair, I keep mine braided often.
