Great video! Been a purple belt for two years and it’s incredible how some of these basic but effective concepts can be ignored by instructors.

Wow, excelent video. I would like to give a sugestion: How to defend a stack pass, for example after a triangle attempt.

Grab the shin, hip escape, and use your arm to hook the leg to prevent them from stacking. They'll either get stuck in triangle or you'll get the sweep and finish triangle from mount
These are the kind of videos that actually improve my BJJ…Concepts first = faster improvement! Thanks Jordan ❤

That's so good to hear. Happy that it's been of help, thank you!
Thank you. Thinking of starting JJ and your videos are a great way to learn the important concepts.
Professor I was just watching this on your online JJ Theory course! I really appreciate the Q&A after each section to test my retention of the info 🔥🤙
Your Jiu Jitsu videos on KZread are among the best I've seen. You have a remarkable knack for distilling complex systems and concepts into easily digestible information. I always recommend your content to my training partners. Having an understanding of the effort that goes into creating such instructional videos, I genuinely appreciate your dedication. Thank you for your invaluable contributions to the Jiu Jitsu community!
Your the man Jordan!! Always premium content. I started watching your videos when I first started training as a way to have a edge over other white belts 😂 I’m a blue belt now and you’ve served as an online private for years now
Dude!!! You are an amazing Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and GREAT instructor, because of your KZread videos I have become a better jiujitero in every practice, I can even say I'm learning more from you than what I learned in live class at my dojo. Merçi bcp PLEASE KEEP GOING the good work you do. Osss.
Love this ! Great concepts and techniques
Always great videos. Thanks
Great stuff as always!!
This is awesome! Thank you!
Your vids are the best man! Thank you
Thanks Jordan your students are lucky to have you.
Awesome breakdown!
Love these videos and this is a great one. I need to knee slice more and control their inside so I have options to possibly unleash more kimuras or head & arm chokes. Thanks Jordan!
Thanks great to learn back from basics again
I tries this yesterday against some of the guys in my gym. I'm a 10 month white belt and the two blue belts that outweigh me by over 30 pounds couldn't pass my guard and a black belt had to get through some trouble to pass my guard.

Hi Jordan! Great video, there's a guy at my gym at always always knee cut passes me, so I'll definitely be putting this to use soon. Also I have a question, I'm starting to work on my guillotines, but I just do not understand the mechanics of them, are they a blood strangle or are they blocking wind pipe/trachea? Which type of guillotine do you recommend I start with? There quite a few!

I'd say.. defending a torreando into leg drag, or a torreando that ends with passer's shoulder into defender's stomach (passer facing defender's legs)
Hey Jordan, love your videos! You should roll with Devon larrett. Super humble guy, and would be a great test of your skills against such a unique grappler. Would definitely be a one of kind roll that would be very informative and entertaining!

What about your legs during an explosive smash pass from standing. It's very hard to guard as it's so explosive.
👊
another reason why I believe some schools should do weekly reviews of techniques instead of, oh heres the next move of the week.
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu

Agreed. So many schools don't have the best teaching practices. "move of the day" is so outdated yet still so common.

Great instruction. You're a good teacher, it seems. Maybe add a little intonation to your narration. It can be a great way to add emphasis to what's important. I know monotone delivery is kind of a trend/style, but it takes away from the experience a bit. All the same, nice work.
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu

Ya in always working in it. I'm naturally very monotone and have trouble reading out loud while being clear + using intonation.
I'm sorry I was so distracted. Please demonstrate the difference between you saying "leg" vs "lag." It's all I could hear 😩😅 Love your videos, love your content, thanks a million.

Love all your vids, and there's so much to learn from this. but one lil critique is that your personality shines more in some of your older videos. More informal script, the occasional joke, occasional flubbed word. I still love that you skip the BS and 3 minute opening monologue, but you could afford to be a touch looser imo!
Hey Jordan defense is spelt defense. Great video though!
