When to use it:
The basketweave stitch is the best background stitch because it is very full coverage and incredibly sturdy. It's great for larger areas and essential for objects that see a lot of wear and tear, like pillows or cushions.
You can use the basketweave stitch seamlessly alongside the other tent stitches (half-cross and continental).
