I searched a bunch of videos and articles, and you're the first presenter to show (a) starting the thread and (b) working around an irregular border. So many of these presentations are frustrating since they never get beyond the creation of an area that ends in the diagonal. Thank you for setting me straight. If I ever get to Philly (from Lake George, NY) I'll drop in.

thanks for reaching out. I believe the thread used for this demonstration is wool, although we did that video almost a decade ago so I could be wrong.

Can't see the lines on the canvas I wish you would bring it in close
