How does putting something up your nose help get phlegm out of your lungs?

I've recently found that taking a deep breath and holding for 5 seconds, then blowing through a straw into a glass of water really helps dislodge stubborn phlegm.

This works! I did the gurgling technique and it fixed my mucus build up and stuffy nose! I wonder what the salt to water ratio should be though because it hurt when I did it but it worked on the first try. Aside from it hurting I give the advice a 5/5 stars!!!

Hi make a video on asthama problem and its solutions

@@AbrahamThePharmacist I just used it as it is very windy and dry and the build up of mucus and phlegm for me is almost unbearable then. One tip...I add Xylitol, a pinch of baking soda to buffer the solution so it doesn´t sting and one drop of Oregano Oil to kill any biofilm. It works perfectly. In the absence of Oregano Oil, a drop or two of mild, non chemical liquid soap or shampoo will dislodge stuck stuff and rid you of the biofilm too. I love my Sinus Rinse device so much more than conventional Neti Pots. Thank you again for it! Sending good vibes to you as well.

Just did it and it work like a charm. I’m all the way cleared out. It was awkward trying to snort up liquid tho.

I tried that,and nothing.I bought the strongest thing in Morocco, something like peppermint in a crystal and put just one grain in boiled water. Tears come, but nothing. Everything is hard and blocked, nose dry, but frequent sinus headaches. However, nothing can come out. and I can barely smell the scents.It's only during the winter that it's runny and I can blow my nose, but that's when it's worst, weakness and pain in the body.I don't know how to cure 😏

Does it matter if the salt is iodized?
