She had enough guts to show us her dirty retainers, which I appreciate. Mine were in fact that dirty since I was overseas and didn't even know how to clean retainers. Also, I tried her vinegar suggestion and it did work.

Don't come at her, retainers turn yellow so easily, if you ever eat anything or drink anything besides water with your retainer on it will overtime turn yellow. I have had my retainer for about two years and my retainer is a bit stained. People in the comments are saying JUST GET A NEW ONE!!!! And obviously they don't understand retainers cost money, a lot of money. I probably sound like a Karen but but please don't comment when you really don't understand.

Abir Barbie that depends what type of retainers you have, toothpaste can actually wear down your retainers as there made of a special plastic, if you used the ones shown in the video, brushing them with soap and warm water once when you wake up and once when you go to sleep is good and also making sure to wipe of any spit on them when you take them out when your going to eat anything or drink anything. Usually you shouldn’t be drinking anything, besides water, or eating anything with your retainers on. Hope this helps!!!

I dont have retainers im using invisalign rn but if you do drink anything other then water it can stain your teeth too because it has no where to go if it gets in their, so imagine suger literally just chillen on your teeth till you take them out😬

Foods and drinks are a main cause of staining clear aligners and retainers. Be mindful of what you drink while you have your retainers in. Anything that can stain your teeth can stay in your aligners and retainers as well. Common food and drink staining culprits are dark colored drinks such as soda and tea.

I clean mine twice a day in the morning i will either brush them with cold water and soap how i do that is i run the cold water and get them wet and then i take a spare toothbrush and put a blob of dish soap on it and then rub my retainers and then rinse them off or i will do the same thing but with toothpaste and then at night i just run the cold water on them and just rub it down with a spare toothbrush with nothing on the toothbrush or retainer. Im not telling you how to clena yours but i have had mine for 4 months now and they are the same colour as when i got them .

Your retainer should never look like that. That means you're not cleaning them twice each day. I use a plant based soap each night and each morning. Also sterilize them in vinegar water. Seems like you were wearing them and not cleaning them on the regular. That will create cavities cause of the bacteria.

I clean mine everyday with a plant based soap as well, and they're still just as stained as hers. I scrub them daily, have used antibacterial soaps and mouthwash, etc., and they still look like that. It's not about cleaning them each day.
