If you REALLY want your retainer clean, or if there's tartar build up etc, all you need is half warm water and half white vinegar. Let it sit for 25 minutes and and then scrub with a soft toothbrush

This is exactly how you should clean your retainer! If you wear your retainer during sleep, when you wake up and remove your retainer to brush your teeth, then you just scrub your retainers with water and drop them in that 1/2 H2O / 1/2 hydrogen peroxide mixture as you did and leave it in the solution all day until you brush your teeth and floss then put put your fresh retainers back in at at night to sleep. You’ll want to leave your retainers in the solution for 12 hours or more. The longer the better! Or vise versa if you wear it during the day, scrub retainers when you brush your teeth with just water and tooth brush, then leave the retainers to soak over night then pop them in the next morning after you eat breakfast and after brushing and flossing! No matter what definitely don’t use toothpaste or baking soda or anything abrasive it will make your retainer look cloudy and damage it. Hi five!

I’ve got the same Hawley retainer as you. I’ve got a lot of calcium build up on mine but it doesn’t affect me really? Do I need to spend the £150 per arch do you think? Is there any damage? I’ve had these for 3 years ish?
