How To Clean Enameled Cast Iron Skillet | Made In Cookware
Cooking is inherently messy-spills, burns, and other accidents are bound to happen. But while cleaning up will never be the most enjoyable part of the cooking process, it doesn’t have to be that bad. Plus, proper maintenance is one of the most important things you can do to prolong the lifespan of your cookware. Still, to make sure it lasts for decades-even lifetimes-you need to know how to clean it when inevitable messes strike.
In this week’s video, Culinary Director Rhoda Boone cleans the Enameled Cast Iron Skillet to demonstrate exactly that. From basic to advanced, she proves that the Enameled Cast Iron Skillet is durable, easy to restore, and near impossible to ruin. Follow the cleaning tips above and you’ll never need to replace a pan again.

I just bought a LeCruset enameled cast iron skillet. My husband seared some scallops and it didn’t quite come off with soapy water and a sponge. Can I use barkeepers friend on it? I use it on my Dutch oven.

What about level 4 dirt coming from chip making campfire s’mores in the cast iron? In all seriousness, my Dutch oven is SO easy to clean.

I have a Le creuset enamelled fry pan with black enamelled interior. I have tried everything including boiling water with baking soda (did several times) The burnt on areas are super flat and like charcoal. Even though it is somewhat coming off the enamelled surface looks dry and worn. Help! (And I didn't fall asleep; followed a recipe to a T.)

I have the same problem with one of my Le Creuset dutch ovens. Black, brown and dull inside like the finish is gone. Used it many years but burnt roasted potatoes really did it in. Would love to know what they suggested.
