It also leaves a protective film. My Le Creuset pots were bought new in the 80’s and still look like new. I use the cleaner every so often to condition them. Yes, it is expensive but you only need a small amount. I’d recommend always hand washing, dishwashers will dull the enamel over time.

Your pot definitely looks better though. I think you just have to keep up with it as you go. I purchased the cleaner thru bed bath and beyond with a coupon (a little less at least),

Hello! Apologies if this question is a bit weird/specific, but does the lid of this round 26cm cocotte serves to cover a 28cm frying pan? (It could be any), i am trying to find the specific measures of the lid and I cannot find then anywhere. Have a nice day! And good video

You don't have to use the Le Creuset cleaner to remove stains. Just use baking soda and water and it works perfectly. Remember to use a nylon non-abrasive sponge to help you along.

Judy, did you even watch a minute of the video🙄? Within 1st miin he said he's doing a deep cleaning using Le Creuset cleaner to see if it's worth it! Then he concluded that instead of buying the $25 Le Creuset cleaner, you're better off using baking soda. Also, he bought the dutch oven more than a decade ago, so he definitely knows how to clean with baking soda cos his decade old dutch oven is in excellent condition!

So it’s basically a abrasive finishing polish like you use on cars but it’s non-toxic and environmentally friendly

I just got some Le Creuset cleaner and the fumes about asphyxiated me....awful...bothered my asthmatic lungs greatly....I'd recommend wearing a respirator if you are sensitive to odors ..... Soaking my dutch oven overnight in a water/bit of bleach solution is more appealing...

How would you compare the Staub vs Le Creuset casserole pot?

  • @chsulie

In my opinion l prefer the Staub over the Le Creuset when I do my braising. The meat is more tender in a shorter period of time. When I do any pasta dishes I do use my Le Creuset. I hope this helps! 😊

Do you wash it with soap after, to remove the cleaner? Or you just do water?

You’d be happier with the cleaner if you coat the snide if the pan with it, then let it sit a couple of hours before scrubbing. A paste of peroxide and baking soda will do the same thing.

I bought this cleaner and sadly it did not clean the pan. Baking soda is the best with hot water.

I tried the Le Creuset cleaner and found it wasn’t that effective. I use Bartenders Friend powder and it works wonderful on the inside and outside.
