Your videos as well as you are greatly appreciated by 99.9% of us out here. I am 73 years old and have studied fishing for over forty years... and I have learned a lot from the knowledge you have shared on KZread. I think ridder660r needs to simply remain in his mother's basement and keep his comments to himself.

ran out of chum and bait a few weeks ago and just haven't had the time to get any more. Hopefully later this month I'll be able to get out and hopefully shoot some video

Soured wheat.

Fish bottom for both cats and bluegill. Caught way more that way than with a float.

Same here. I think the float lessens the sensitivity. It makes for a more natural presentation fishing off the bottom.

Interesting. I get 90% of my fish within 2.5 feet below surface under a bobber or pool noodle. When I fish bottom I get a log fewer strikes, but the average sized fish is considerably larger. All of the 5 biggest catfish I've caught on a rod and reel were caught on the bottom. That said, if I'm looking for volume or to show guests a good time, I always use a cork unless hours pass without a fish. That almost never happens though.

I'm a multispecies fisherman. I fish for anything that bites the hooks. I use a lot of crappie gear because I like light tackle. I use 8 lbs line even with my handlines for small fish. 20 lbs on the high end.

I have had great luck this year with bacon fat

Carp maggot hooks are good Usually gotta get that stuff from UK, but maybe not. They got some super trick gear for rigging carp, cats and such Their game is on another level when it comes to rigs
