Shit, I just use rotten meat (chicken and stuff) that has gone bad, mixed with some boiled feed corn. Let it sit out in the hot shed and just grab some when I go fishing. Basically rotten fermented corn and rotten meat/blood. I wouldn’t say that it’s super affective, but it does get the cats to your area, you still need to have good bait, or you won’t catch anything.

I also usually use some fresh bait to chum with also, people don’t understand that catfish do like rotten dead stuff, but they also love some fresh food! Chum helps get the fish more active more quickly. Just don’t over him, because at that point you are feeding the fish, and they won’t want your bait after they are full!

I use milo, works great, I think any grain will work. I used to use the 5s, now I use a 35 and rubber gloves! I add nasty shad or liver, also sugar and yeast. That gas is Carbon Dioxide, its great for house plants! D

I use corn, boil it, then ass some raw chicken (usually stuff that has gone bad for us to eat) livers, liver blood, and some koolaid (if I have it) then I just let it sit out and ferment and get nice and rotten, When I go fishing, I just throw a handful or 2 in hopes to get the fish to the area faster than using only my bait for scent. That’s the real reason to chum, is to get the fish more active more quickly.

I put my lid on tight with milk but drill a about 16 penny size hole in lid. Kinda cuts down on smell slot. I do look pretty often to make sure hole is open

What I do is mix rotten 14% sweet feed with water and beer or koolaid mix and let it sit for a week or two. Works pretty good

cant wait to try the chum, but the only reason to use beer is for the yeast. why waste a beer? just pour a packet of yeast in there. One packet of yeast is a lot more yeast than a beer has. nice video
