How to ceramic coat your Jeep Wrangler at home! For only $50!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is an episode to take cleaning your Jeep to the next level, and protect the finish with a spray on ceramic coat. I also cover how to clay bar your vehicle to prepare it for ceramic coating. You too can do this at home for under $50, and save yourself almost $1000 vs having a detail shop do this for you.
Products used:
Mothers California Gold
Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic spray
Microfiber cloths
You can get all of the above products at your local Walmart, Amazon, or any auto parts store in the car care section.

Thanks! Maybe one day once we are out of lockdown, I can drive up north for a visit. Would love to maybe collaborate or just bust some friendly northern trails.

I used Collinite NO. 476S super double coat auto wax on my 2018 JL. I am thrilled at how she turned out. So much sparkle.

I would recommend clay baring before a polish anyway.

Good to see you taking good care of ol' Blu! I think JL hood latches for Crawlers the JK is next on my mods list. That hood flutter makes me feel... uneasy?

Hay Rick! Blu is treating me well, but im really itching to take her and get nice and dirty. I need to save up for a lift and bigger tires, but thats going to be some time from now.

I've heard about that, but neither my 08 JK nor my 18 JL have experienced that with the stock latches. Maybe the underhood insulation on the Rubicons prevents it? Not sure. I've seen it in my buddy's JK, though. He replaced them with aftermarket latches that cured it.

@@dmwil1 It happens with both of my Rubicons, including the Recon, which has the vented hood. It gets a bit un-nerving on freeways that allow you to go over 70, especially if you are on one going over 80, when trucks go by or driving against a strong headwind. It was enough to make us slow down below the speed limit a number of times, it's pretty annoying.

Did you use it on your black fenders? If you did what were the results?

I did! It looked like Armor All for a few days but quickly faded and came off within a week. The paint itself did last for about 6 months. I need to re-apply a new coat this spring.
