Just gonna add, dragging back hand just before turn, then use front arm to lead your body during and after turn. Your body will follow your front arm. If you point up, your body will hang up on wave. If you point down the line, your body will snap the turn and send you flying in the right direction. Once you master that part, you can kinda cheat and use more "body english" than just pointing. Your body will learn without thinking and just "do it". Like driving a car, after a while you just enjoy the ride without over thinking things. Maybe the next vid can be on "weighting" and "unweighting". Like getting over little front waves, aka speed bumps, also transition from sand to water. And the push down just before the wave, kinda "ollie" feeling ( but staying on wave and board) during the turn on the wave, then your weight returns to board coming down the wave and bottom turn.

Many people have already said it, but Skim Kids is all that beginners need. I am from Bulgaria where this sport is not popular at all and it is impossible to get a lesson from someone experienced. And the only salvation for people like me is this channel. Blair explains very understandably. The videos are short and funny. And people are learning best while having fun, right. Great thanks for the lessons man! I admire you!

Thanks in advance.

Would you happen to know any good beaches in the north east? I go to Cape Cod every year but it always seems that there are always rocks and the beaches and very slanted. That could be because of when we go (High tide I think). Is there a generally better tide to go skimming or does it really just depend on the beach and conditions? Great vid
