Nick’s definitely got his own taste in plants which is what I like most about his channel. Sometimes you just need to watch something different other than the rarer, expensive plants & trending plants.
I love my silver dollar vine. I bought it a few years ago off Etsy, one cutting about 4 inches tall and now it’s a huge bush!! Soooo easy to care for.💚💚
One of my wishlist plants! I love how yours looks on the trellis 🥰
“Soil is full of perlite and little rocky thingies…rocks…” That just hit me right in the entertained tonight! 😂😂
I Like This Plant... IT Has Proven To Be One Of My Plant Survivors.
Im growing Xerosicyos danguyi for about 2 years now from a cutting. Its outdoors and gets West direct sun. I find that it only start growing fast during hot weather🥵. My goal is to make it bloom and try to get some seeds because thats the only way to get a caudex base from it😁
LOVE the look of this plant Nick! ....and they way you have it growing on this hoop displays it so beautifully.
Mine is growing on my veranda receiving full sun. 😊 I have five little cutting successfully rooted in peat moss, sand and perlite mix.
This plant looks like peperomia hope! Never heard of it before, very cool.

It's a bit thicker, very easy plant on my patio🌱❤🌱
This is a beautiful plant! It reminds me so much of a Hoya "Hope". Always love your videos!
Love yours on the trellis, so cute❤🌱🤗
I had wanted one of these for ages! And managed to buy a cutting at a fundraiser. It hasnt done much for me - but i did neglect it a lot. Ive had it about a year and havent seen any growth . I put it outside and havent had much luck either. I was treating it like a succulent - so very neglectful. After your vid I will treat it more like a house plant and hopefully it loves me for it. Thanks for your video!
I have a silver dollar vine on a trellis like yours. The plant and trellis are both about the same size. I keep mine in a west facing window with a supplementary plant light. I love mine! ❤️
Wow! I did not know about it being a caudex 🤯 I have only had mine for a couple of months but so far, so good. Thanks for the info, Nick! 💚
Oh I really want to get another one of these, I had one awhile ago and it was just a very small plant and it died, if I get another one I want it to be larger and I now know how to grow it. Thanks Nick for this video and sharing all of the tips about this plant, and I really like a bamboo hoop , I have a few of my Hoya on bamboo hoops, and they are doing great. I hope that your week ahead is good, sending love and hugs, bye for now. 🤣🥰
I have one I’ve been struggling with. I’m definitely about to put her outside. It’s gorgeous plant and I definitely don’t wanna lose her.
I live in a tropical climate (sunny 34°C 80% humidity daily), but I water my silver dollar vine every few days, and it always has an insane amount of growth. One stalk I just had to chop down because it was over a meter long!!! If I don't water frequently, the vines stop growing completely... Also, to propogate, I literally just cut and stick the stems directly back into the pot and water as usual, never had to let the end callous over. Very high success rate, only one or two out of the several dozens have dried up, because I didn't water it enough.
What a name! I never heard the real name until now. I have had mine for about a year. Very small but the vine did get long and i cut it and propagated it in water. There are lots of roots on the cutting and i want to plant it in with the mama plant. I like this plant cause it looks like a hoya. Mine is in a sw window and has done well. Its in a small terra cotta planter. I was going to repot it but after watching your video maybe i wont.
I had one awhile back but killed it 😭
Just got one yesterday! Looks quite a bit like a Peperomia Hope but less viney.
Try grit or gravel instead of rocks. Probably belter description. Cool choice for a plant to cover.
💚💚
I just really would love to have a sweatshirt or T shirt with one of Nick’s weed growing in a crack in the sidewalk plant with Muffin’s tail peeking out from behind it. Or some hung like that. Muffin making her entrance in someway on merch. Please. Also, yes, the plant is pretty cute too 😅
That is one slow growing plant!
Actually urs is beautiful like that. Mine is over 5 feet tall. It vines down. It’s actually leggy but I love it that way.
This plant looks like a peperomia hope
That thing is invasive on trees in the tropics O_O

Google says it's not invasive just a companion plant
Thanks Nick!!! You're a smartie pants!!!! It looks beautiful growing on that trellis! And i agree, that name does sound like jibberish!!! But most of the latin names sound like jibberish to me. I can't even pronounce most of them! It seems like by now someone would have translated the latin names to English...wonder why they haven't ? The latin names tie my tongue into a knot!!! I get why we need to have serious official scientific names just to be accurate and without confusion but does it really need to be in Latin? I doubt it seriously. Have a beautuful day!!! 🍃🤗🍃
Hi Nick! I do really like the look of the silver dollar vine. I need to watch for one. I wonder how it would do mounted? Something to think about..... Thank you so much for sharing!

I honestly don't think it would do well unless it got lots of direct sunlight and it was mounted in such a way that the soil drained quickly. This is a succulent/cactus. It's tough but really likes to branch straight out.

@@debbiefox6846 Thank you for the response! You just saved me from getting a plant that I don't have adequate light for.
I found a small cutting this spring at a local greenhouse. I can't figure out if it's string of nickels or peppomia hope. Do you have any tips of how I could find this out. Plant apps are not helping.
The new growth on my silver dollar vine are deflated huhu Any advice on this?
Wow, Nick definitely excellent, we do adore your vlogs! Btw, Nick, will do you any collaboration? Hope you communicate with you by email!🥰🥰🥰--Calvin from TNG
