    Let's turn this video into a living research document: here's what you need to do (be sure to number your results as I did below) 1. Calculate your Spotify Engagement using the calculation provided in this video. 2. Let us know where your audience is listening to your music and the percentages (Check "source of streams" in your Spotify Analytics) 3. Let us know how you've been marketing your music (i.e. Facebook ads, word of mouth, playlists, etc) To keep things consistent, be sure to filter the last 28 days only!     Hey there, interesting analysis indeed! Numbers on our side for last 28days: 2131 listeners / 6253 streams / 2,934 streams per listener / 322 saves / 514 playlist adds so engagement rate should be 39%. around 130 average listeners per day and 200 average streams per day Source of streams are: 23% profile and catalog / 26% listener's own playlists / 19% other listener's playlists / 0% editorial / 28% algorithmic / 4% other no ads running lately (last release was in April 2021)

    Lol my engagement rate is 117% 19 saves + 8 playlist adds = 27 27 / 23 listeners = 1.17 = 117% My sources of streams are my profile (62%), listeners' own playlists (26%) and algorithmic playlists (6%)

    Hey ryan, thanks for the information! You provide great value man. Just subbed! One question: Your profile and roger petersens profile have the same engament rate of about 2 percent. At 12:31 you can see that Roger Petersen gets only 87 streams from Spotify Radio, while you get thousands of streams. Any idea on why you triggered the Spotify Radio algorhithm so much more than Roger Petersen? Could it be the fact that roger has a lot less traffic coming from 'profile and catalog'?     Hey man! Thanks so much and thanks for subscribing! Your question is really good and the short answer is that it's impossible to know exactly _why_ - all we can do is talk about the data and make an educated guess: Firstly, it's so hard to know the timing of when the algorithm hits... and it won't happen the same way every time. For some artists I've seen it happen after 10k streams, other songs it takes 100k, and for other songs... never. So nothing is ever guaranteed. With that being said. the most likely reason is that my music is more "generic" than Rogers music (not using generic in a negative way, just in describing that my songs have a very standard pop/ folk sound). This probably increases my chance of getting into more radio playlists (which are algorithmically generated based on the listeners' listening habits. Another total guess is that when Spotify was "testing" my music out in the radio algorithm (with only a few streams just like what Roger has now) my song completion % was high and this encouraged Spotify to continue to push my song-similar to watch time on KZread and the KZread algorithm. Hope this helps at least shares how I analyze these results!

Do you know of any method to see how long the tracks get listened to on spotify on average (similar to youtubes watch time/retention curves)? I just found out that I can track the daily Popularity Index score via spotify for developers so I thought there might be more little hacks intro the matrix 😁 thanks again man!

    Yes! I was going to mention Spotify for Developers as a good resource. It seems that you've already figured out how to make the API calls for extra data. You can also grab a Chartmetric subscription. It's pretty expensive if you sign up for their full plan directly on their website, but there is a secret way to get a "single artist subscription" for much cheaper where you can track your own stats (but not anything else). I'm pretty sure it's still available (the cheaper plan comes and goes): help.chartmetric.com/en/articles/5666414-do-you-have-a-single-artist-subscription

    Aye Ryan, Im Yakir from israel 🇮🇱😉 Ive spend alot of time while looking for someone whos explain Properly the music fan journy so Im happy I found u bro. I struggle on How can I Actually contact with my stickey people on spotify which are still with me althought the Promo is done? I dont have thier Email, Name, nothing ,so it comes hand in hand with the Email List, how I can get their Email to add them to the list? Hope u can give me some points How to get over this problem..
