This is the heart, the core of our P85 PreCast Oven Kit. Manufactured in Australia, the four PreCast Sections that make up the oven dome are made from high grade Refractory Castable, reinforced with stainless steel fibers for strength and toughness. A key feature of our castings is the full 'tongue and groove' joint between each section, that locks them together securely.

Hi sir! Very nice...i regards to your refractory castable..can i use refractory cement only? Is there any difference when using fire bricks?

Hi Paul - using refractory cement (Ciment Fondu) bh itself is not reccommended
Such an incredible kit! What does your refractory castable consist of? I respect that it may be a secret.

Hi Duncan! It's a dense refractory castable with a 45% alumina content - it's not a secret or anything haha! We include 3% stainless steel fibres (by weight) to give the final casting high tensile strength, which is something not everyone does but we have found it's very important.

You’ll be using the two part mortar mix from this point onwards - please make sure you’re referring to the written instructions though Andre, you’ll find those details in the pdf plans that you can download from the website
