How to Build our PreCast Oven Kit | 5. Laying the Vent Arch

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The Fire Brick Arch at the front of our P85 PreCast Oven is what gives it that authentic, timeless look. Here we show you how to lay the bricks over the formwork. Learn more: bit.ly/2xXZbT5
Something that sets our kits apart from the rest is that all of our Wood Fired Ovens have a beautiful brick arch at the front. These bricks come in our P85 Oven Kit, all cut to size and ready to lay over the CNC machined timber formwork that's also included. We could have made a percast front for the oven, but we think this looks much better, even if it does take a bit more work.
Our Wood Fired Oven Kits are available in Australia, the USA and the UK! Check out the links below:

Should the arch bricks be soaked ? it's not mentioned in this video nor in the written instructions.

Yep you definitely want to soak all of the firebricks that you're laying in your oven build, to ensure you get a good bond with the mortar (we do cover that at the start of the instructions but I'll double check that we're being clear on that point, thankyou for pointing that out!)
