Thank you for saving my sanity! I have spent the whole day trying many different techniques to "lose the hump" in my crescent shawl pattern - including a couple so mind-blowingly complex that I now have a headache! More in desperation than hope I found this video...... and Hallelujah! It works! Thank you so much!

Thanks. Very helpful. The majority of top designers have a huge bump that no amount of blocking can eradicate. They think they are too important to see if there is an alternative method to rectify the issue. 😊

They might not realize there are ways to fix it!

@@HeatherStorta Then they should look at other people’s designs. The people I’m on about are selling MULTIPLE THOUSANDS of their individual patterns. I have written in the past to some of them about errors in their patterns and they don’t even acknowledge the problem. I wrote to one designer on Ravelry recently and told her that she had got her M1L and M1R the wrong way round. She wrote back and said you wouldn’t notice it on the finished garment. It was part of the shoulder shaping. 😢

Does the pattern usually tell you how many pick up stitches. I am not quite sure where you came up with the number 5.

Yes, it will usually tell you how many stitches. Typically it's an odd number of stitches --so it'd be 3, 5, or 7 etc. But not always.

Read this with the kindness intended: Please point with a needle instead of your finger, to avoid shadows, use a stronger light and possibly place it to your left instead of your right, it's a pity I can't see what you are pointing to :(
