I was sitting in my home alone, quite miserable, and while looking for some music on KZread this video popped up... And now I'm knitting vigorously the boneyard shawl, way much happier, all sad thoughts gone away... Thank you Stephen! 🥰

Thank you so much! I have lots more increase and I-cord tutorials coming this spring. :)
It's a good thing to revisit classics from time to time
Stephen, yesterday morning I finished my first Boneyard Shawl and am proud of it. I started knitting it in 2018, so the pattern I began with was your original Boneyard Shawl pattern. My shawl was in hibernation for 4 years, so when I got back around to it this month your revised pattern was available. I used the I-cord bind off and it's perfect for this shawl. Yesterday afternoon I began my second Boneyard Shawl, in large part because I found this video so inspiring. Love the changes set forth in the new pattern: garter tab, three garter stitch edging, I-cord bind off, plus general explanations to help us along the journey. I love watching your videos, even if I'm not knitting the pattern at hand. Your attitude is always so positive and your kind warmth comes shining through. Thank you, Stephen.
You are so much fun!!! ❤️ It is obvious you are very passionate about knitting and helping others along their knitting journey. Your explanations are so thorough. And I LOVE how you not only have the row you are working on typed out on screen, but HIGHLIGHTED the stitches you are working! Thank you so much for all you do!
i always come back to this video when i need a M1R and M1L refresher because you explain it the best out of all the videos ive watched. thank you!!

This was my first major knit after having brain surgery and I wore it to my first time going to Rhinebeck 😍 Thank you and keep knitting Kitten💚 🧶
Just found this, and you are a life saver! It's overwhelming at times trying to decipher a pattern, so the way you add the written notations on the screen as you do the actions really helps a lot!
The Pro Tip on using the backwards loop vs the M1L or M1R was a game changer for ease of knitting for me!
You are, without a doubt, the best knitting teacher I have ever seen/heard! Thank you.
What a fabulous way to remember M1R and M1L!
Thank you thank you thank you! I appreciate your clear explanation of these basic bits. I’m also a fan of your work overall, so thank you for sharing ❤

I’m so glad I found you! I have knit a few shawls, but I’m going to have to give this one a try! This one seems nice and easy. I need to change to continental knitting...so much faster and sophisticated looking! Thank you!

This was one of my 1st shawls and 1st knitting projects!!!! I'm not an English speaker, but I was able to understand it right away. Great video. thank you
i like how u simply explain it. its more clear and easy to follow ♥️♥️
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am knitting a schawl using a pattern from another designer but I KNEW that you would explain the picking up of stitches along the edges better than the pattern I had!
Thanks for the tutorial. I have never knit a shawl before.
I just finished the shawl and I LOVE IT !!!! Especially the bind off edge - how beautiful ! I've never seen a bind off like that before. I used size 4 weight and was worried that it would be too stiff, but a little voice in my head said - keep going. Finished the bind off this morning and it is gorgeous ! Squash gold colour - it is so beautiful. The tighter knit is perfect for the cold winter months. Sincere thanks for this and you are so charming ! I will knit a matching little kerchief for our morkie named Oliver. Cheers !
I am starting this shawl with some fingering weight yard. Thank you for being such a great teacher!
