    Oh my goodness! I can’t believe I can do this! WooHoo! I learned how to knit about a year ago but only knit and purl. I was so afraid to do something different. You, Marley Byrd, are an amazing teacher. Thank you so much for making this easy.

    Marly you are the best. I learned to knit/crochet back in 1962 but was never really good at knitting. Watching your videos has encouraged me. I made your Absolutely Simple knit hat you did a few weeks ago and it came out great now I’m going to try this pattern too thanks again.

    This is the best that I've seen a kfb stitch taught! You show it clearly and precisely, and slow enough for people to actually knit along with you. The yarn over, and use of markers is shown really well also. Great video! 😉

    Have not knit in years never been very good at it honestly find crocheting much easier especially when error is made lol. But retired now for about 5 years actually bought knitting needles a few years ago but have never tried to do it again but watching your video you make it look easy going to try. Thank you for encouragement.

    Absolutely love this video. I found Hop Scotch at Michaels back in July. Have always hated triangle shawls. Thanks to you and Barbara Benson i can now learn all the Crescent Shapes my heart desires. Thanks so much for showing us. Love them. Your are great as a instructor. The Hop Scotch feels nice as well. Now I can start my favorite shape of shawls and this will be my first. You did a great job of teaching this as always. Thanks again.

    I'm knitting this shawl from the instructions on the band ball. They suggest that the first stitch of every row be knit, slipped back to the left needle, and knit again. In other words, knit the first stitch of each row twice. I checked out the instructions online and Red Heart does include this step in their instructions under NOTES. I like the extra stretch this gives the edge of the shawl now that I've knitted about 6 inches worth of fabric. Would you consider suggesting this extra step? And I agree -- this shawl pattern and yarn is awesome!

  • @kyleyee5963

    @kyleyee5963

    3 жыл бұрын

    I know any yarn would work. You will simply need to adjust needle size and you would have to perhaps add more rows. Some lightweight yarns still hold up well on larger than called fir needles. I have tried sock weight on number US#7 but I prefer a tighter fabric so I went down to 6, 5,4 and have made several. I added more rows to make the shawl is he length I like. They really can keep your neck and shoulders warm.
