Yeah! Everyone talks big game, and it's really hard to keep a level head. When I get in a dangerous situation, the only thing that allows me to keep a "level head" is shock (as in the emotion) or the will to keep others safe. In a storm, the best thing to do is try to make sure no one panics- crack jokes, tell good stories, but also sprinkle in good info so they remember it and can fend for themselves in the unfortunate situation where you die or get separated. But, storms are not assault or murder situations, and I can say that your brain absolutely shuts down in an assault situation.

One of the things I like about this movie is that the protagonists are just as skilled as the antagonist the power scale is not heavily weighted one way or the other

The Collector that should be a Dark Woods trader because the collector collects things obviously if you've never played dark woods so you're going to be an absolute fear it's like Dark Souls but horror bird's eye view you have like limited sightlines there are these cones like looks like light that's your eyes clearly the most accurate representation of a human eye and if you don't face the right way you might just see stuff moving randomly like I mean you could still see but you can't see the enemy so yeah Got to Be watchful you're going to be in absolute fear and also in awe with the art style they picked with Birds Eye View and then when you get close it's so detailed everything is so detailed animated so creepy to the people who sell you items that can help you the people are extremely weird you can interact with them that you can even kill one of them by choosing something I don't know

They made a mistake by infiltrating the hideout ill prepared. None of them appear to be wearing body armor, which is the first thing I would bring to such a mission. Furthermore, I also would prioritize the thief's life much more, since he has could have critical information to share. He should travel in the center of the group. Also they didn't appear to perform any initial survey on the outside of the building, which could have yielded potential clues on its layout.

Well as a Marine Corps Sergeant, had they gone in with at least 7 men, full body armor, Kevlar and all, using room clearance tactics, they would have taken the collector easily.

Arkin is literally one of the greatest marksmen on the entire planet with the shot. He managed to hit a man from 50 yards away during an extremely stressful with a single shot from a revolver that isn’t suited for that range at night with a fan blocking at least some of his visibility. He is probably better than most Olympic shooters are.

The exact same thing would happen to CS. Hindsight is 20/20, there is no way someone thrown into a life or death situation like this would be able the think that clearly and quickly. Its easy to have the "perfect plan" after hours of research and planning.

Whole new meaning to "trap house" Also around 10:29 I don't know if I like that plan. In general firearms instruction "warning shots" are highly discouraged as you don't know where they might end up/ricochet. Especially in a building full of traps, that makes me nervous. Same with intending to school him in the leg, that's a small and moving target you're likely to miss. People often ask why police don't do something similar, but (aside from being trained to aim for center mass because in theory if the danger is significant enough to warrant discharging your weapon at all, it's dangerous enough that you're shooting to kill) it's just too risky that you're going to miss and hit something--or someone--other than your intended target...and that's the last thing I'd want happening in Boobytrap Palace.

i remember seeing this movie when i was a kid with one of my uncles, the only scenes that i had in mind was the dancefloor mega mixer, the crusher cage, the girl that died crushed on the trap at the wall and the burnt mask
