Well, somewhere in Africa there were several lions who were stranded on an island and survived by hunting cape buffalo. Lions are usually scared shitless of those things unless they got some backup, but those lions managed to hunt them on their own. So yeah, I guess it's possible for this lion to be one of those super lions.

I’ve heard of 2 man eating lions of tsavo which killed 140 people so this seems realistic... but I’m not sure if those two lions were a real story. although this film only had 1 lion which maybe could’ve done 70, I haven’t seen the film but I’m assuming the town wouldn’t have a population in the 1000s, maybe in the 100s but that’s still a lot to kill a whole village full.

I personally think that these videos offer a third-person point of view on a life-threatening situation. However, it's important to know that these people are going through an impossible scenario that they know can end them, which creates a lot of stress. Foresight is good and all, but when you are put into a scenario like this, you solve one problem at a time and don't think things through

As a hunter and someone who spends a lot of time in the woods…. One of the most important rules when entering a forested area. NEVER… Never bring vehicle keys with you. Leave them in the car, on the tire, in the gas tank door, etc. Any hunter worth their salt knows this.

So I'm not a doctor, but I did have cpr training at the daycare I worked at and they said to just continue doing chest compressions until help arrives. If a man is bleeding out from beating mauled by a beast and we're in the middle of nowhere, I wouldn't even bother trying to save him. Chest compressions aren't gonna save him cuz he's losing blood quickly. And once all the blood is pumped out, he's gonna die from blood loss. I would leave the man there as a snack/distraction and drive away.

No. They are not. It is one of the most absurd and annoying myths related to the animal kingdom on the internet. The Jaguar is much smaller than the Tigre/Leon. He could never have the most powerful bite in absolute terms. The Jaguar has the most powerful bite in relative terms, that is, in relation to its size. Something completely different. 90% of people seem not smart enough to tell this apart and many idiots think they are the same thing LOL The Jaguar has the 3rd strongest bite in absolute terms of the big cats.

Alternate idea around 17:20: If you are caught on the roof for whatever reason, you should try and predict the angle at which the lion's mouth will be and try to jam the barrel in there and shoot. It might not tranquilize it but it would most likely suffocate the lion.

Near the end when the lion was focused on his daughters, who were safe enough, he shouldn't have scared off the lion with missed shots. At that range he could easily and quickly line up a decent shot or two, at least injuring if not killing the beast. Another, albeit more risky strategy, was back at the first vehicle before it was on a cliffside. We saw multiple times that the lion couldn't fully get in or under it, so you can potentially lure him close, let him expose his head, then attempt hitting the eyes to blind it. It may not stop the lion, but a blind animal is easier to handle than one who can see.
