Katy Robson LITERALLY ME RIGHT NOW
a little while ago, i read a book called "the 5 second rule" (i believe it's by mel robbins?) and it's honestly the number one thing that helped me with my procrastination. it's basically about the power of a "push moment" and how your brain can come up with tons of reason to _not_ do the thing you need to do within 5 seconds. so the basic idea is that, when the "oh, i should probably do this" thought pops into your head, you have to use the power of that "push moment" and get up and start doing that thing within 5 seconds before your brain can come up with the heaps of reasons to continue procrastinating and not doing it. it was a huuuuge help for me, not even just for procrastination, but it was a massive part of recovering from my depression. i'd highly recommend looking into it!

Red lips always look so lovely on you
I have severe ADHD, which basically means I'm a master procrastinator
This was such a quality video with real, helpful content. I cannot thank you enough for this!! Edit: Applying this to my life, as an adult, when I get into a mental funk. With depression, it's easy to fall back into this state of "I can't do this." Thank you for helping me with this video. I know depression is not the same thing as procrastinating, but for me this advise will help me as an individual who struggles with depression. It won't always be a simple cure because depression isn't like that, but this video is full of great advice for helping me slowly overcome that mental funk. Thanks again for this video. My favorite video of yours to date!!
Girl, your makeup is ON POINT. And I would like to say, I've been watching your videos for years to get inspired. I have depression and anxiety, and you've been really helping me out for a long time. Also you've been inspiring my thrifting for years as well. So THANK YOU!
I’ve seen a lot of your hair transformations over the years, and your current style and colour is 💯❗️
Just watching this I'm motivated! I paused the video and loaded the dishwasher!!! Sending love from indiana!!!😘😘😘
Can anyone answer the question of why should I pay for Skillshare when I can watch KZread for free?

I think it is a bit more helpful, because you can consistantly learn from someone step by step. Not that youtube cant offer it, but its harder to find for specific things. I think its more of a luxury to have it.
I was LITERALLY sitting down procrastinating for my speech class. Thank. You.
A) thanks for the helpful video. B) "hell yes" to that Dawn of the Dead '78 shirt!!
I needed this so bad, I used your link and I’m already hooked!🙌🏼💗
Sarah you're glowing!!! 💗💗💗
I follow you since 2015 and i love seeing your evolution through the years 💖
Loved this! Keep up the good work with the content you’ve been making lately like wow

Hi! Love you so much ❤️ can you make a Top of things that made you happy this month? Or kind of? It would be great!
Honestly you are the KZreadr in my sub feed I can relate the most to.
Just caught myself adding the video to watch later. Procrastinating a video about procrastination. Well done.
i'm so bad I've been procrastinating for years on making myself a doctors appt...
I've been meaning to watch this video of yours for a while now, but just haven't gotten around to it. Really have to work on my procrastination. XD
thank you for this video. i really needed this right now, i've always been a procrastinator but now i'm on my senior year of high school, i have a lot of things to get done and i need to stop procrastinating
how do not procrastinate in a more and more overwhelmingly world. So much information you have to tune in every day in order to maintain update and to not pass for ignorant. i`m 36 years old and feel the pressure of the learn new skills such as Code, Machine learning etc.... for fear of the future job market and the automation impact. On top of that you have social media, service streams, be a political conscient person, eat healthy, exercise, maintain and feed relationships and the list goes on and on. The challenge for me is to filter relevant and irrelevant, make now and can wait. For me too Sarah i think lack of sleep and vitamins deficiency has a huge biological mental impact in maintaining focus, clear thinking, the process of making a decision, increase anxiety, shop and eating impulsiveness. Do have study lines that think procrastination is a good thing after all because of delay gratification and tasks, in general, make the brain process with more assertiveness of what otherwise would be made with more impulsiveness and less thought.
its pretty ironic i put this on watch later
the timer trick is what I do, it definitely helps!
Really informative and great tips Sarah!! Pretty much describe most of your videos 🙈
The irony of this being in my Watch Later for 3yrs...
Yesterday I had work I needed to do for uni, and I told myself I would continue watching the umbrella academy once it was done 😂 you’re right, it does work!
U should look up the science/neurology on procrastination! :) Procrastinators seem to have different brains then a „productive person“.
I did some chores after watching this video. Sometimes you just need the extra push, also, hello Star Trek.
You look gorgeous♡♡♡
I’ve never clicked so fast on a notification before
my level of procrastination: watching this video instead of writing my thesis
*Watching this to procrastinate*
I’m procrastinating to watch this
i procrastinated watching this video
Same!
I liked this video its really helpful for us unorganized folk.
I have possibly never related to a KZread intro so much in my life. Like... same, girl. Same.
Thank you Sarah for this bullshitfree video! I got good tips how to handle this issue. Could you post about compliting tasks/projects? It’s another layer of this theme... Also do you use a planner/agenda?
*is interested* *but puts in a playlist to watch later*
10-minute tidy is an easy way to get something done in the morning or before bed.
Typo hun ❤️
quick, there’s a typo!!
I'm a lazy, depressed procrastinator with a creative/artist block. Hopeless. Thank you anyway.

You're not hopeless.
I feel like the reason I procrastinate is mostly related to fear of failure, like I do want to get work done but it feels like if I set myself up for failure at least it is my choice to be mediocre lmao. It is a miracle I made it through uni and am not fucking up my masters
I’ve been procrastinating SO bad. Just unmotivated really. I have one more year until my BA and i think I’m burned out, I just want it to be over already! 😫
*_I am a lazy bastard._*
ironically enough I'm watching this instead of studying
I'm here instead of writing my term paper
I read procreation loool
I've never in all 30 years of my life heard the phrase " eat the frog" 🐸🍽️😂
Literally procrastinating studying for my test lmao
How did this come up while I’d just shoved my books aside claiming I’ll get to studying eventually?
I’m not actually procrastinating anything in particular besides maybe doing the dishes lol
You know what is weird? I can procrastinate even on activities I want to do and was looking forward to do them the entire day. For example, watching your video but I wanted to play games...weird, right? Maybe it’s the thought of not doing anything that is so appealing for me because I’m lazy as well so my brain probably pick the activity with ironically less activity in it.
Putting off doing my taxes by watching this video lol
Omg you look like a DOLL in this video. Love your make up here!!
Just so you know there is a typo in your title 💛

Ur so pretty damn
you might have inattentive ADHD (a.k.a. ADD). I always just thought I was the most lazy person in the world. but turns out I just had ADHD. which doesn't change much on it's own, but does give access to helpful tools
Are you an INFP? I am and it totally seems like you are too!
Who is watching this while procrastinating ahem
You’re so beautiful 🙂
Oh you're crazy!!!!! Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?!!!! It's impossible!!!!! Is it? Or is it so possible that your head is spinning like a top?!!!!! It can't be!!!! Can't it? Or is your entire world just crashing down all around you?!!!!!

Potential reframe to ponder- you’re not lazy, if you were you wouldn’t be such a prolific youtuber on three, count ‘em, THREE channels. Vega, thrifter, sustainability pursuer...these are not the province of the lazy...just sayin’!
