Do you have to wait 185 days after arriving in the UK to apply? The website says if you are GIVEN PERMISSION to stay in the UK for more than 185 days you can apply. My Permission to stay in the UK is valid for a year. Value your opinion. Thanx.

I think you can apply for it earlier, it does says “have been given permission to live in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) for at least 185 days” Just enter all the information correctly, if it goes forward and they send you application, then it should be fine.

What post office did you use and do I need to put my address on the letter while posting it to DVLA

Hey, I used Royal Mail to post the letter and used simple 1st class delivery for £1.10. In terms of putting down my address, I personally did not as they will have my address on file, so they can use it when they are sending my provisional licence and supporting documents. However, if you want, you can add a return address at the back of the letter just in case it does not get delivered and you can receive the documents back (this scenario is unlikely though).

Hello The application form is available from most of the Post Offices in the UK. Go and ask for the D1 form and you should be able to fill and send it. Alternatively, contact DVLA here: bityl.co/Kkfc

In PART A it is mentioned that if we provide the Share code then no need to fill PART B, If we do not fill part B then we need not send the BRP along. We can generate the share code easily, please share your thoughts.

The work share code and the one they ask is different, it’s very weird. If you try to generate the share code where they want you to, then it shows error. So for international student, this is the only way.

You can enter immigration status share code. You need to update your UKVI account with the latest brp card you have.

It might be due to Bank Holiday Weekend. I will suggest wait till end of this week, if you don’t receive it, then contact DVLA.

You can do that if you wanna them to post it via trackable letter. Else they will send it back via normal second class delivery.
