For Your door squeaking, I use dialect.Grease works real good for me. As far as making sure, your wheels are straight.Put a string line on your tie bar Come around the front Off the tire cross tread to the outside of the tire, go the whole way to the back tire and come around the back tire across the tread and tie into the leaf Spring. Making sure string touches both sides (front and back outside of the tire) What's in shores?Tires are street and then the rest is what you said

For your door hinges, use “Wurth anti-corrosion film”. Comes in a little can and you spray it on the hinges and the door stops until the squeezing goes away. Worked at a Chrysler dealer for years and found that stuff most effective.

EMF Intermediate Shaft Bushings. At 8:50... the aluminum (looking) piece going through the firewall. That shaft has a rubber coupler that takes some shock/feedback out. The rubber bottoms out and is limited by two opposing pins. There are washers/spacers (see Genos) that fill the void and doesn't allow any give by the rubber. The bouncing your steering wheel has when you testing it (pull/release... and it bounces back and forth)... that's the rubber taking some motion up. No amount of steering box tightening is going to lessen what the rubber in the coupler does. Look for this pins! Inside the dash near the universal. This is on almost all Rams ('94-'22). Part number EMF DSB-3999.

Door hinge squeak. When I have a stubborn squeak usually I spray it with break free brand clp. It cleans, lubricants and protects. I know it's a gun cleaner but works great on other stuff too. LPS spray lubricant has also worked well for me but when it don't work I go to clp.

Fluid Film is some amazing stuff. Started using it a couple of months ago. It is lanolin based(wool wax). Go figure. They created it in 1943. When the U.S. Navy needed to conquer the costs and delays of battling rust and corrosion in the ballast tanks of its thousands of combat and support vessels in World War II, Fluid Film filled the bill! Pretty cool.

Check the power steering fluid and make sure there's no air. Definitely make sure you didn't make it too tight. I left about an inch of slop in mine just so I know I'm not prematurely wearing it out. I could probably go tighter but I didn't want to risk it! If it binds you'll feel that. It can be dangerous so don't let it do that. Loosen it up if needed.

Thanks for the video. I got an 04.5 3500. I bought and installed a red head gear box. It was slightly better for a few months, but has since then became sloppy. I emailed Red Head and they said to check the gear box by hooking vise grips to the input and output shafts of the gear box and rotating the input shaft back and forth and look for movement on the output shaft. It was perfect. I told red head of this issue. He said to do it with the truck running. He said the "slack" gets filled up with pressure from the power steering pump. Does that mean the box is good and my problem is else where? I can move my steering wheel while engine is off and I have 4 inches or so of play. What do you recommend? Thanks from East Texas.

Get the front of the truck off the ground supported by the axles and wiggled the wheels front back and side to side. Also check the front u joints on the axle. There's a lot of failure points on the front steering. If everything is solid, which I would doubt it is because it's a dodge, the next thing to check would be the steering shaft itself. They have a little bushing in there that likes to fail. Also get a steering stabilizer if you don't already have one. They're worth the money and are pretty cheap if you get them on amazon.

This video is over a year old and I'm still on the same box.. Y'all wild with these comments 😂 boxes were made to be adjusted.

@@CPSteveMiller lol I was just playing I just maxed one out on tightness with no binding. Truck has 350k on what seems to be original or one replacement, had almost a full turn before engaging.

These boxes are such garbage from the factory. I wanted to go redhead but now guys are telling me they suck. Can't win, man! 😂

If you’re adjusting your gear box this much, it’s time for a new one. This truck is as wallowed out as his ear lobes.

sorry to bust you bub,.... bub this method is incorrect, will work for a lil while but will ultimately ruin the box.. ASE MASTER.

ASE is garbage to be honest. Almost a year later and it's still working fine. Throw that cert in the garbage where it belongs. My dad had them and he'll tell you it's all just a memorization game. It doesn't mean anything when you own your own business.
