Hi Trevor, this has been a great tutorial, as I am doing a coat of arms and the shield is rounded at the sides, so this came at the perfect time. Thank You.

Excellent clear explanation, once one gets used to highlights, low light's and secondary highlight's etc they become second nature you'll find yourself including them without even thinking about it. I love to include as many as possible because in my opinion these are little friends that can make the piece really pop. Without them the piece would look flat!

Welcome back. Looks like u put on a couple with all that time off. Back to work. Great video bro, I could watch skull shit all day. As allways, can't wait for the next one.

lol. Thanks Pete! It's ironic, I literally just painted another skull and was debating on whether I should use it for a video or not. I was thinking maybe I've done too many and the audience would get bored with it. Fact is, skulls have been a part of the Kustom Kulture for a lot longer than I've been around and I suspect that will still be the case long after I'm gone. They are fun to paint and a great way to learn to render different textures. Point is... there's more coming.

Hi Mate. Good to see you again. Glad you & the family had a good break. Nice tutorial, can't comment much as you covered it very well. As you know, I always like to give you something to think about and tax your brain a little bit. 2 things? That skull was quite big. I personally find a larger image easier as I don't have to be so pin sharp on some of the details. Do you? Also, any progress with the overlapped rivet plates. Many Thanks Guy

Hey Guy! I do agree painting on a large scale is easier and faster. I chose to do a large image for this video because I thought the camera might pick it up better from farther away giving me more room to work and the larger image is faster to render which decreased my production time. Having said all of that, every artist should push themselves occasionally by painting something small scale. Working on small scale paintings forces you to learn ultimate control when dealing with those pin sharp details. And that will improve all of your work regardless of scale. I haven't forgot about the riveted overlapping plates, just been overwhelmed with requests and my normal work load. I do have a panel already prepped with a silver base. I'll get that video together in the next week or two. It will actually fit in with this video nicely now that I think about it. Perhaps 3-dimensional effects will become a series of videos too. Sorry for the wait my friend.

hey Trevor your third video is on private. thank you for the training on air brushes. I don't own any it's something I'm looking into. I'm saving up for a good air compressor before I buy the brushes and items needed.

Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! Correct, although I didn't realize the public could see videos set to private. That's odd, but it doesn't really matter in my case. I've found it's easier for me to upload videos early. It sometimes takes hours to upload and process a video which made timing my weekly Saturday release a little difficult to keep consistent. The third video will automatically become public tomorrow at 6 p.m. (GMT Time Zone). Uploading the videos early allows me more time to keep working on other things and it helps keep the channel consistent (as mentioned before) so subscriber's know when to expect another video. I applaud the fact you are saving up for a good compressor rather than buying something just to get you by for awhile. That's a good decision that will pay off in the long run if you decide to get into airbrushing. If you have any questions along the way, please don't hesitate to ask!

your a great teacher I'll defiantly stick around. it would be fun to use the airbrush on cars and bikes. but I'm not sure if there deferent air brushes for that... Also that private video looked like it was delete,,, or something... but it would be great to complete that series before I move on to your other videos. keep up the great work and it would be nice to have a drawing class to the side, I'm not that great of a reader though but I do have a few art books to student from. but yay if your helping to help I'll defiantly go the extra mile to get better at art.

I appreciate the kind words and support! I'm passionate when it comes to airbrush art and I love to teach others how I do what I do! I promise that video hasn't been deleted and it will go public tomorrow evening. You can buy different airbrushes for different purposes, but working on automotive surfaces compared to anything else isn't one of them. For example, a dedicated detail airbrush generally has a smaller needle and nozzle compared to a brush designed for broad/general use. I use the exact same airbrushes for automotive work in the shop as I do for canvas work in the studio. I plan to incorporate a few drawing videos into the channel at some point. I'm not certain when that will be though.
