Looks cool. The Thing is, Im not seeing which way the "light " is coming from, based on your shadowing on the tear sections. The "drop shadows" show the light being around 12-1 o clock (slightly overhead too), but the inside the tears shadows do not concur with that suggestion. Maybe most confused by the white "shadow" on the very inside of each tear. I would think the very inside of tears would be the darkest, as they are shadowed from the light..?.. Can you explain please? Thanks.

Carsten, loved it!!! This is an awesome video, thanks mate. I’m working on a project (12” diameter steel soldering “bench”) with that same color orange base, I’ve been wracking my brain what to do with it, because there is a 2”x2” racing team shield shaped logo in the center. I was thinking of doing a race car wheel, but have been shying away from that idea because it is just too boring and plain. I even considered a real fire theme, but that too didn’t feel right. The project is a prototype custom one off deal. This has given me an idea to have the logo “blowout” from the center of the disc having blue electric arch streaks emanating from the logo. Thoughts?

I wanted to know how to do this on a piece im making. Couldn't quite get the effect I was looking for because my center kept falling out of the stencil, duh so stupid not to realize you leave the corners attached. I am using a cutting machine to cut my pieces and it's a pain as you have to make the stencil in a strange way. The machine only sees black and cuts all of it. This is going to absolutely help me there. I'm wanting the canvas to look like a planet is coming through the tear and wanted to add maybe claws like a creature was tearing it open. Would LOVE you to do a video on that. Question, couldn't you just dilute your black to achieve the same effect? I pour paint and air brush a little, I use black in both and I just dilute my paint to break down the color getting the effect im looking for. of course I am adding it to an already saturated color. By the way, thanks for these videos they are really helpful to those of us who dabble but aren't yet proficient experts.

Hi, I have seen your very nice video, but I think you build in a big mistake...over what I not there: there is no depth of that material which is broken! I have no idea how to handle that correctly.... And also my wish, let there come out a scelerton , head outside ... Another hint, because we easy misunderstood in die Easton Germany: when you say you mix transparent white or black, you do NOT take that color what mean ist: you take the transarer Color endcoating lack and mix to than white/Black....that gives a totally other thing for us who uses Schmincke colors
