Great video Jeff!!! That ECX screwdriver is actually a combination of a #1 square and a slotted. Definitely could put those to use at my day job as a sparky.

Would love this set of drivers since I recently got zapped when my screwdriver touched the side of a metal box. Love your videos keep them coming.

Yes, I wish the retailers and marketers would do more to let people know these insulated tools exist.

Great idea, and very useful for adding a few outlets in my garage shop.

Love these screwdrivers!

I am an instructor at a trade school. I would like to use these to give away to one of my students during our class.

darn it Jeff, you're costing me money. first the Dewalt Carry Bag, now the screwdrivers. :-) Milwaukee makes great tools. i have a Milwaukee Sawzall from the late 70's, and i still use it to this day. i never leave home without it, even when we go out to dinner. one never knows how tough those steaks might be. going to Lowe's or Depot today to pick up the screwdriver set. thanks for the review.

@@jeffostroff yeah, that would be cool, but i think a younger guy just getting started in the handyman/repair business would really appreciate those screwdrivers.

Ecx also incorporates a #1 robertson to really insure a non slip torque

Yes, I love that ECXdriver

I have never even heard of an ECX head. I agree with you about "star" head bits, but I think the ECX would be just as efficient. I am in property maintenance, and these old homes will often have two-prong outlets that need to be upgraded. It is an easy process, but cumbersome when you are doing 20 of them. I always cut the power, but the peace of mind from set ;like this is great.

Music is way too loud, very distracting. No music is honestly the best for tutorials.

I’ve had that set for over 5 years. The Phillips and ECX has held up ok, but I snapped the tip off the slotted. I’ll be getting an 8mm insulated Wera to replace it.

Love these drivers

It’s good to save as labour is expensive but if iam doubtful it’s warranted to spend and tool are always useful especially screwdrivers and places like Canadian Tire , sometimes it’s hard to find out where there made but usually they are cheap garbage and a good quality set is ever lasting, if I don’t win I’ll head to Home Depot for Milwaukee screwdriver set and Electric Gun and bits for fast jobs, thanks for the tips as being electricuted would not be good

You might want to replace it, depending on how deep it is. Not that much compared to getting shocked.

Great video and I could use these drivers cause I'm going to be rewiring my shop and they would be very useful.

I just shorted out a hot terminal in a electrical box yesterday.

why do people always talk about volts .....1000v is nothing if its only 0.5 amp ........amps kill not volts

my question is you said is never good to work live but I guess if for some reason it was accidentaly wired incorrectly / or you accidentally shut off the wrong breaker hopefully the insultated tool would protect you? P.S would you say that when possible adding an electrical tape to my insulated screw driver should provide extra protection in case of an accident? thoughts please thank you

Insulated screwdriver provides all the protection you need, I would not modify it with anything.

I think the background music should be lower so we can hear you better.

cool idea - did you add nuts and washers for toilet bolts yet?

and a cheap fix would be electrical tape around the shank of a regular screwdriver ;)

Might put those in my plumbing bag, but even then I never have a use for them, because I'm usually installing anew toilet that comes with bolts, and even the green foam rubber wax rings we use come with bolts.

Due they fit all the screws electricians use , screws used in light repairs, reason I‘am asking is I had a light floresent light fixture installed by an electrician and he used his electric gun with adapter and screwdriver Bit had a stem like end that fit a small screw to hold the light to the open ceiling rafters and I don’t have that screwdriver type end

Do you mean a hex driver? Sometimes we come across green grounding screws on cans, and we find a 1/4" hex driver bit works best.

@@jeffostroff most of the ones I’ve seen myself on the ground were Robinson , but thanks for the tip they are using the Hex, but he used these screws to attach the light to the ceiling rafters, ceiling is open in furnace room, and he had stripped them bad useing a power tool to install them, I was some how successful loosening two of them and the last one I was lucky he had close to the end , I got a claw hammer on it and pulled the head off it and got the light down, would have been a lot nicer had not stripped them, the light was a florasent light,guess he thought it would be easier than attaching it to the light box , he would have needed help with it to install, was wondering what do you do when you see the screws are stripped , is crow bar time, appreciate your information and I thank you

Milwaukee is far from the first brand to have insulated screwdrivers
