    I've read the policies and heard over 50 opinions on demonitization and other rules. When you're on youtube and running other youtube videos it can get tricky. I remember when Joe brought it up for about 5 mins and he said there certain times where its seemingly fine then the owners of the content sue. That the thing, I'm not exactly sure what allows one to sue or not. Read the policies, they're easy to find. Personally, I dont understand them entirely.

    My uncle was around that time this was like 88, 89... Hugo got dealt with in the beach and to revenge he got 200 (not kidding) of his mans and went to Gracie's academy and locked the place up.. Helio (Rickson father) called him and Rickson went to the academy ready and beat the shit out of Hugo again. After that Eugenio Tadeu got into a fight with Royler Gracie and Eugenio dominated the entire time that's when the police entered spraying the ceilling of the academy lol A good story with Tadeu was the 97 fight Renzo Tadeu, Tadeu's people invaded the fight and a fucking brawl started banning mma from Brasil

  • @gustavoorvile

    @gustavoorvile

    3 жыл бұрын

    Renzo got tired and started getting beat up. Renzo's father gave the order to turn the lights out so the fight would stop. The security staff was really bad organized and that's why the fight started. Both sides had savages with only stupid people. Don't blame inly Tadeu's side. Ps: About Rickson's fight, it is clear the he started the fight. He went there and assaulted the guy(Hugo). You can see that in the original version of the full episode. He could have gone home. If he was fighting because Duarte invaded his gym in the past is a different cause. I totally get the point, however, that Samurai talking of avoiding fight is 100% bullshit. Jiu-jitsu guys are known for beating people up everywhere back in the day. I know and so do you. We are both from there.

And when the loser admitted hed lost and could not take it anymore He simply stated it and everyone was cool about it. As a man you took and ACCEPTED defeat and simply learned how to live with it just the same as learning how to live with the winnings. But now today men cannot handle losing.!

Because Brazil. Bas Rutten Talks with Joe at a earlier podcast in a "Hey they were doing a thing we thought that was cool now we do a thing like that in our way." On Dutch Kickboxing. I don’t think Sakuraba was fresher fighter even if he was younger, but 10 years no doubt is a lot for a fighter to make up. Rickson fought Funaki who was around the same age as Sakuraba, so it suffices to say he could have fought Sakuraba who also requested the fight prior to Funaki.

    "Judo is where a ton of jiu jitsu came from." Judo came from Japanese Jujitsu, BJJ came from judo, Japanese jujitsu, and Catch Wrestling. "the Gracies and his followers are always trying to prove their point on how jiu jitsu is the best MMA ever." That tradition has its origins in Japan during the period following the end of isolationism. At the time, everything foreign was considered hip and cool, while everything traditionally Japanese was considered old and "square". That included Japanese martial arts training. Dojos were losing students. So the senseis had to compete for what few students they could retain or recruit. To that end, they had challenge matches. The Gracies got it from them.

  • @perfectsplit5515

    Many variables come into pay in an MMA fight. In a street fight, even more variables come into play. Hugo went for a risky move - jije-gatame from a back mount belly-down. When it works, it looks spectacular. But when it fails, the attacker loses his position and becomes vulnerable. Tank Abbot was just able to slip out of it and instantly exploited the vulnerability of the failure of the move. Ronda Rousey also attacked Holly Holm with it and failed. However, Holly was far less brutal than Tank Abbot.

    I'm glad there is no more bad blood between Gracie Juijitsu and Luta Livre. There are many schools of thought when it comes to who influenced whom more. IMO, catch wrestling had just as much influence over ground grappling in Brazil as pre-war judo did. Meada honed his skill competing in catch wrestling fights. The Gracies call it Juijitsu with or without the Gi. Luta Livre claims they were there the whole time as Brazil's folk style martial art, and that there is no, NoGi. If it's grappling without the Gi, it's Luta Livre to them. One things certain Rickson was the baddest Gracie!

  • @tbppuglia

    @tbppuglia

    There are some youtube videos that talk about an American wrestling coach that came to Brazil and showed foot locks to Rolls Gracie and convinced him of their usefulness, before that foot locks were not very popular in BJJ, that was late 70's. So, there you have it, it always existed in Judo's Ne Waza, in BJJ people just kind of ignored them until a wrestling coach showed how powerful they could be. So, yeah, in the 80's you would see foot locks gaining traction among the better-trained guys before they just got popularized in BJJ.
