​@@24kJuiceSilver fits Vegas and Nevada as well so certainly Nevadas nickname is "The Silver State" which dates back to 1859 when large quantities of silver were discovered in Nevada, which let to a huge migration to Nevada so Silver is actually a great color for Vegas.

even though the Raiders have not won a Superbowl in almost 40 years, they have a great fan base in Oakland. down in Las Vegas not so, two games of the end of the last year, 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. 75% of the fans where there's. which shows the Raiders have no fan base in Vegas the fans in Oakland where never had something like that happen. I heard a story that Al Davis was colorblind? That’s the reason he went to silver and black. That way even on black and white TVs are uniforms look the same as in color . Urban legend?

Actually, all of these reported original inspirations, including the shirt itself, are incorrect. The logo is based on Jimmy Doolittles raiders-the WW2 squadron that trained in Alameda before their historic raid and retribution on Japan following Pearl Harbor. It’s not a pirate at all. It’s based on the graphics that pilots added to their fighter planes. And the term “Raider” was very common in aviation battle during WW 1 and 2.

We need that Intimidation back in the Silver and Black!! The Raiders have lost their edge! It seems that today's Raiders don't recall where they came from! Penalties over professionlism! Now they struggle to win by hiring idiotic head coaches who get rid of talented, key players before moving on themselves! Sad. 😢

Well I have a 6th it's pre-shield from the 1960's a staff windbreaker/shell has a different logo, came from the late John Madden's house in Blackhawk, CA. Can't see how to post a pic of it
