omg, this made me cry, not even kidding -- letting the scale determine how i feel about myself has been exhausting for many years ... I finally hear someone (you), finally. thank you

I weighed myself this morning and I was up, but you were in my head Eric, and I thought ok just get back to working on this & don’t get bent out of shape. So to continue, I measured and took pictures as another means of seeing my progression. I’m listening to you, Eric-thank you!

Yep, face it. I finally got to a point where the scale didn't affect me mentally and started weighing myself, and telling myself "it's just data." and it has been the best thing ever! I'm able to learn my body and train my mind. + learned that my body shape has changed although I haven't lost much weight; Thank you for the confirmation I needed. I'm on the right track! You are SO awesome!!!!!!

I love weighing in daily. It has taught me over the many years to learns o club about me. I know twice a month it will spike up (ovulation and period), and it’s always 3-5 lbs for me, even 6… I also know if I sleep 7-8 hours, I will wake up 2 lbs lighter than what I weigh in at the end of the day. I just love the data. I also don’t flip out on days I am rushing out the door and forget to weigh in. It’s just data, but doesn’t make me or break me. It’s a number and I love seeing thei trends, comparing all my four postpartum journeys and how different exercise programs affected me and well, age too. Lol the older I get with each baby, the longer it takes me to get to where I feel comfortable in my body. It’s life… crazy how amazing our bodies are!!! Consistency is the key. I’m on baby #4, I’m 42, and pregnancies have never been kind to my body. Each pregnancy has brought more weight for me and it has taken me longer but I just keep going. I know some women are back to feeling like themselves in 3, 6, 9 months… me… my body likes to take 12-18 months to see that visible progress. Lol and that’s ok… now that I know this, I just keep going.

Love the video, I weigh myself everyday, I think it is a very good form to get to know yourself and your own weight fluctuations, and some times I can slip up with my diet and I see it on the scale (sometimes I slip up and still the scale goes down), but I don't feel as guilty and I feel that I'm a lot more conscious about what affects my weight loss and weight gain.

After talking about my diet and current weight loss, I've been told numerous times I'm obsessive for weighing in every morning after bowel movement and breakfast. This video makes me feel so much better. The scales are purely for data purposes as I understand that with various activities, the scales will fluctuate as I continue my journey. ❤

i'm commenting this here because i decided to lose weight from watching your tiktoks and there's like a character limit in tiktok comments so i guess i'll jjst say this here. seeing the number go down on the scale sure feels good but boy do progress pictures feels even better. i remember one morning i looked at myself in front of the mirror and just felt proud of myself because of the noticeable changes that i saw and since then, i think i cared less about the scale than how i did before that.

What's your opinion on smart scales Eric. My scale tells me body fat %, muscle mass, skeletal muscle, bmr, bmi, protein and a host of other stuff. I find it very helpful as I can see when my muscle is increasing and subcutaneous and visceral fat decreasing, for example. Interested in your expert opinion on such a thing.
