Thank You For This Video! I Believe It Outlines The Career Of Luiz Suarez Well. It Shows His Positive And Negative Sides. I Believe That Suarez Is One Of The Greatest Strikers Of All Time, Not Just For His Goals, But Also For The Large Amount Of Assists He Also Got. Thanks, H Eagan.
As a Barca and Liverpool fan, I have nothing but love and respect for El Pistolero. One of the greatest strikers to ever do it 👏
This has been a debate going on for a very long time, but in my opinion, Luis Suarez is a better all time striker than Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski and I hope many people hear it. Robert Lewandowski is an excellent number 9 who's been a goalscoring machine up until recently (that's another conversation), but that's about it, Luis Suarez is a better dribbler creator playmaker and is more dangerous than him while combining it with his goalscoring ability. He has dominated some of the top leagues in Europe, I read a stat that showcases that he's more than just a good goalscorer as he's also been the top assister in the premier league, La Liga, and Liga Do Brazil and an area in which Suarez is better than Lewandowski is that he's more complete than him, number 9s are different, but they're not just elite at only scoring as he was a striker that could both score and also create for others and produce moments out of nothing, as he wasn't heavily reliant on service or the chances his teammates created for him as he was able to create for himself and his teammates. Lewandowski is better than him at scoring and that's about it. Karim Benzema is also a very good striker as well who plays the exact same way as him, but I think the recency bias is out of control. When judging how successful a player's career is, people tend to focus on how well a player performs in their 30s peaking later in their career and after Ronaldo left Real Madrid, in the late stages of his career, he played the best football of his career during this period, but Luis Suarez has always been better than him and they both have the same longevity at this level too. People bring up Benzema's Ballon Dor win which was impressive for any player to win this prestigious individual award, we have to take this into context because keep in mind that his best ever season came at a time when Messi and Ronaldo weren't at the level they were at a decade ago and yes Karim Benzema has a Ballon Dor to his name, individually Luis Suarez has always been a better striker than him. What made his peak significant was that he was playing well at the same period of time when Messi and Ronaldo were at their best, as it's rare to see an individual win 2 European Golden Shoes in their era and beat them to the Golden Boot in the same league by scoring 40+ goals when they were at the very peak of their careers. Benzema and Lewandowski are all time great strikers as well in their own way, but Suarez overall was simply better.

@@minebloxz8648 valid take. Still, Suarez clears all of them easily
Luis Suarez may be a talented player, but throughout his career came under a lot of criticism for his behavior and he has been involved in a lot of controversial incidents, like biting 3 players, his diving, clashing with other players provoked them etc and he is very dirty, that doesn't change the fact that he's one of the best strikers of his generation and has a remarkable track record for club and country. When he was playing on Ajax in the Erderversie, he was already a very good number 9 before playing in a top league and as fans we always talked about how well Neymar played when he was on Santos, Luis Suarez was a different beast at Ajax and as soon as he went to Liverpool, even if he didn't win the big trophies, he was too hot to handle in the premier league as he produced unbelievable moments scored bangers and volleys, even in his final season at Liverpool, after serving a 6 game suspension, he scored 31 goals in 32 games and was very critical in why they almost one the premier league title. He ended up earning a big money move to Barcelona and his first season he missed 4 months due to a suspension that we all know what he did and as soon as he came back and settled, he formed a wonderful attacking trident alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar and he won the treble in his debut season and he was brilliant that year. In the 2015/16 season, he produced one of the best individual seasons we've ever seen as that season alone in La Liga, he outscored peak Messi and peak Ronaldo, as in the league he scored 40 goals won the Golden Boot over them and he had 59 goals and 23 assists that season altogether as Barcelona won the domestic double and despite having 82 G/A, it was a surprise that he didn't make the Ballon Dor podium and in any other year no Messi or Ronaldo, he has a Ballon Dor to his name. In his final seasons at Barcelona, he continued scoring goals and was a difference maker for them also was still winning trophies as well, and he had a very bad ending to his career there. He deserved to be treated better as Ronald Koeman believed that he was well past his prime and he was too old and to rub salt into the wounds, they sold him to Atletico Madrid a guy who was supposed to be "finished", delivered 20+ goals in La Liga and they won the title while Barcelona finished 3rd. It's a testament to his mental strength and longevity, that he was able to show Barcelona that they made a mistake in getting rid of him and with Atletico Madrid when he wasn't at the peak of his career still put in remarkable output especially in a Diego Simeone system where they prioritized defensive work than attractive and attacking football, but he scored big goals winning goals time and time again showing how clutch he is. What makes him special is that he's a world class number 9 and out and out striker who was not just responsible in scoring goals he's so well rounded as a striker so complete can also create and get assists. This was a guy who was outscoring peak Lionel Messi and peak Cristiano Ronaldo while also being able to create and be elite in other facets of his game, he won 2 European Golden Shoes when both of them were at their peak and won a Golden Boot in the same league as these legendary players, and people that watch Luis Suarez's highlight reels will wonder why he ended his career without a Ballon Dor and he's a great striker but too bad his prime years came at a time when Messi and Ronaldo were at their unstoppable best putting up crazy numbers. His controversial behavior was frustrating, but in terms of his talent he was different gravy and something else. Wherever he has been, he's had a significant impact on the teams he has played for whether it's at Ajax Barcelona Liverpool Atletico Madrid etc as the guy has played on a lot of clubs throughout his career. Another thing that's crazy is that during a period where he's about to go to the MLS, Giorgio Chiellini recently announced his retirement and what a coincidence right there.

20+ goals on Atletico madrid , that is a feat man , in fact Simeone had to change his tactis to acomodate HIM , that year Atleti played a little bit more offensive than they used to , and it showed a lot , that midfield tried , but , well , they did their best in attack , the difference was Suarez upfront , he was the most clinical striker in europe that year , he was converting every single chance he got past mid season , it was crazy .
This dude scored some bangers

The greatest striker of his era, In top 15 goal scorer of all time 2 golden shoe in prime Ronaldo and messi era. 6th most assist in football ever. One of the greatest striker ever. Still will never get his due and respect, due to his on field antics 10 years ago.

For a villain he has outscored Ronaldo and Messi at the peak and was the best player in the world in 2016. He was that good. Had Arsenal didn't disrespect Liverpool by that infamous £40 000 001 bid then Arsenal would have won two Premier League titles by now and the MSN wouldn't have formed. Acknowledge Luis Suarez for his achievements.

I'm amazed he got so many assist during his time with Ajax. He was so known for not passing to other players, but going for goal himself. Which was fine when he was at Groningen, cause his teammates were crap, but at Ajax it was something that wasn't appreciated. Just ask Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Might genuinely be the best passing striker ever as well as being probably the best in that position since r9
