In defense of the mandalorians, they would have been inmeditely annihilated if they would have rejected the Vong's offer, so joining them for a while gave them at least some time to think about their possibilities

I love tht tho, it shows tht no matter how bad ass someone is death comes all the same and it can be at any given moment, I hate when movies make a character too big for death and it gets drawn out, this shows even the ones u thing are the most dangerous can fall to just about anything

You do realise Boba Fetts badassery was mostly made after episode 6.

I imagine it was probably closer to 2-4 hours. He would know how to ration his oxygen to last longer. Also in legends he got stuck in that thing like 4 or 5 times so he's had practice.

@classarank7youtubeherokeyb63 take breaths sparingly. Basically after the initial few minutes when it's obvious there is no immediate way out you take a deep breath and hold it for as long as you reasonably can and then take another. It's what divers do.

Ngl, the way Boba escaped in Legends was 1000x better. In the old continuity, Boba spent several days trapped inside the Sarlacc, hearing the voice of a Jedi woman who fell into the pit centuries before him. Despite being able to escape after barely managing to activate his jetpack, Boba was left permanently with physical and mental consequences, even losing a leg and developing a malignant tumor, which botchered his career as a bounty hunter for years

If you are talking about the Extended Universe then it did not ruin his career because he got that leg replace with a cloned leg and, while the tumors came back eventually, he was able to keep being a bounty hunter and he eventually found a way to reverse the increased aging process in his failing organs and leg during the Darth Caedus arc. Or are you talking about the old canon explanation

@@rooklane3925 Overall, yes, I have to agree it was a tad disappointing. Because when Jacen first decided to become a Sith Lord he looked into many futures and always saw himself facing Luke. Either he or Luke died in those many futures and I wish they could have portrayed that, but his death definitely held a lot of emotions because he was facing Jaina. It was also believable due to her unorthodox training at the hands of Boba and the other Mandolorians. And I kind of like that it was Jaina because if it had been Luke who killed him then it would have been another, "Luke was the only one who could have killed the Lord of the Sith...again" kind of situations.

Had to have been much longer. When we see Fett escaping, we get to see the wreck of Jabba's Sail Barge in the background. The damn thing blew up shortly after he went into the pit, it would still be burning, or at least smoldering, if he got out only a few hours later.

The Book of Boba Fett is not accurate to the lore and logic of everything before it. It's more of a legends content than actual legends. It's a self contained story outside the continuity of the saga.

You can literally see the storm trooper the hose came from in the scene. The biggest flaw in that part of the show, was it appeared to be a regular Storm Trooper, not a Sand Trooper.

Only reason why this doesn’t make sense to me is that the mandalorian takes place 5 years after ROTJ. So what has boba been doing for 5 years straight, cuz no way he’s been with the tuskens for 5 years.

HOW COME HE SAYS IN EPISODE 4: “the sarlacc pit, where I was trapped for all those years.” As we know, mandalorian is set 5 years after return of the Jedi. And in the book of boba Fett episode 4 is only shortly after episode 1 when he escaped the sarlacc and episode 4 is set the same time as the “gunslinger” in the mandalorian but that’s just a theory.

Oh, now I get it. I always thought he was in there for 5 years, but he must've been with the Tusken Raider clan, for that time, from a slave to one of their own.

Also later at night a bunch of Jawas stole his armor from his unconscious body and sold it to Cobb Van, who ran off from his town when it was invaded by a miners syndicate, and that happened when his people were celebrating the destruction of the second Death Star. So basically Boba survived and escaped before the defeat of the empire

The wreck of Jabba’s sail barge would’ve still been smouldering if it were a few hours. In the show, there’s no smoke or fire but it hasn’t been covered with sand yet so I’d guess he’d been down there for a few days.

Imagine how sick a clone wars style animation of boba fett would be 😢

Imagine crawling out, then hearing the Empire is over and everything has changed. One of the best fighters in the galaxy... totally missed the big fight. Living with that was probably his personal hell.

I like the fact that Dengar ended up saving Boba in the end after he had crawled out of the pit because by then Dengar had married the twilek he had saved or something as I remember he had regained feelings through this ring she gave him allowing him to feel once again. Very cool stuff in my opinion

Now that a great survival story .

The fact that he apparently cut hole to the sarlacc's side and made the physically impossible feat of digging through several meters of sand instead of the sarlacc mouth just feels dumb to me. The sarlacc could have for example spit him out after he started torching it with his flame thrower

No... The Sarlac stings its victims wirh a paralysing agent tk eventually digest them over eons. Means bubba couldn't get digested because of his armor. He woke up from the paralysing agent running out, as the sarlac usually has a corpse by now. Bobba didn't breathe that much and was basically in hibernation. When he woke up, his oxygen supply depleted immediately as there was barely anything left if the extra O2 It's why he needed oxygen to use his body to punch and cut through the meat.

Well I think it would be longer because you're body doesn't need as much oxygen when you're asleep

Yeah, I don’t see how it could take weeks to escape the sarlacc. Either you have a way out or you don’t.

In the starwars legends universe (I belive it was mainly cause we don't see him do it in the show) boba goes back every year like a holiday to shoot at the same sarlacc from space with the slave-1

realistically it's probably longer, those stormtrooper helmets had giant air tanks/filters. Still probably maxing out at like 8 hours, but more than 2.5hrs

The stormtrooper was lucky- the toxins were blocked by armor and the body glove, letting him die of dehydration.

In the book tales from jabbas palace, it tells the story and it said he was in there for 4 days I think, he had the oxygen and water in his helmet so it was long

Curious as to why there is little to no wreckage or kicked up sand after a the massive explosion of the barge or any skiff remains if it was just two and a half hours. It looked like a barren desert when he started walking around.

The saliva acts as a paralysis so he probably was in there for a month 😂

i think a sarlacc is useful for getting rid of dead bodys.

He would die of dehydration and starvation and probably acids inside the pit within an couple days tops
