Lil pump was lucky he finessed his deal because he signed underage sooo he ended up getting more money but they also felt cheated so they didn’t really let him shop around and it left a bad taste in his label’s mouth having to negotiate against themselves. I think that sorta stopped his career. If he stayed hot and was undeniable they would have backed him but when he was falling off noone in the building was fighting for him.

Also some great rappers as well like Uzi, Carti, X, Juice, 21 Savage, etc but their were just way too many people who were either copying each others music styles or being clout chasers with zero talent. So I can understand why the old head rappers and their fans hated the soundcloud era considering they are the reason why the music industry today is just full of mumble rappers, people who rise and fall off in less than a year or keep making music that sounds the same.
