I had a pair of the same black and white colorway. I thought they broke in really well. I like the slightly rounded bottom sole transition. They felt like a very high quality fit and finish, which I thought came through in the toe cap area. As it wore down it stayed consistent and lasted a lot longer than anything else I've been skating recently. I'm probably going to buy another pair.

They fit true to size and more narrow then wide. The suede is good. But depending on how you do your KICKFLIPS your canvas and the logo will rip fast. My suede did not rip but the canvas was ripping on my friends shoe who was skating them.

Long winded Christian, not about to dictate your request. But I thought I would be nice to leave a long winded comment about using a that cutter to chop a shoe in half, why not consider a hand saw instead, allowing for a cleaner cut of the shoe and the design of it dissected. I’ve appreciated your videos throughout the years, as I am consistently searching for the wholly grail of skate shoes to wear. You have assisted in that venture, I think the Tyshawn has the best fit overall, just not high enough for my broken ankles.. I’m skating the Lakai Telfords great support, but gutted the sole too much IMO. I tried repenting word for word what you said so maybe you could answer this question? What does the consensus say in regards to trucks vs width of board, do most try to use trucks equal to the board length or do you prefer to have trucks a few clicks less than the width of the board? If so, why?
