Exactly! Though time will tell if $90.00 skate shoes are worth it. Personally, I have a hard time paying more than $65.00 for a pair of shoes I plan to destroy. But yes, when you send out hundreds of Free shoes you're bound to make an impact. Marketing 101. Best of luck to them...

they even have everybody stating how they got the shoes for free but wouldn't be biased which, even scientifically proven, psychologically isn't something that is possible to achieve when having the product given to you for free. also he split the 100 Kickflips challenge up on two shoes, so it's not the 100 Kickflips he's talking about although he made his challenge very clear. I'm not trying to hate on John in particular, he's just doing what you do as a KZreadr, but c'mon... I also believe this is the corporate video he talked about having to get approval for for a couple of weeks by now on his Instagram. so they definitely had a closer look on what he's saying and he knew that beforehand. idk about all this, I just know that I personally didn't have a skate shoe yet that looked any worse than his after 50 Kickflip tries and I also know that what I see in this video is definitely not "not anything at all". so it's a bit fishy to me. anyways, there are going to be other videos of John I'll enjoy more than this single one. at the end of the day if we really want to know what this shoe is all about we'll have to try them ourselves ig and keep in mind that after all these videos are just some kind of ad in the end, be it more or less honest. I'll still grant John whatever he has or gets in the future as long as he stays who he is.

if they are already fraying after less than a day of riding they will probably fall apart faster than a regular skate shoe it doesnt matter that its eco friendly if it doesnt last as long cause in the end thats more shoes going to the landfill

The only issue I have is that the 100 kickflips don’t show the wear justice since you technically only did 50 flips on each shoe.... not complaining just stating.

It’s not that everyone is wearing them. It just stands out more because the design is very recognizable . It puts a lasting impression on you. So if you’re at a skatepark you might not notice that half the skaters are riding vans , but you will spot that one dude wearing these shoes because of its pattern design. It’s all a marketing thing

Every KZread skater is wearing them. Haven’t seen them anywhere else

Smells a bit fishy. giving them to KZreadrs and writing the scripts whilst playing the "we are not corporate card" we plant a load of tree etc.. Once and if they have established themselves they will be just another skate shoe company. Find a shoe that you like to skate in and stick with it.. Cant fail 👌

guys, the etnies jameson eco is great. its canvas though so some skate shoe gum/rubber will make them last a lot longer. really comfortable shoe. broke them in after two sessions.

Awesome vid. 100 kick flips sounds like it might get boring watching it but it was very relaxing with the choice of music. Also much respect to what it would take to do 100 kick flips after the skating you had already done. 👍👍👍

They skate really nicely! I’ve had mine for about a week but I really enjoy them. Like John said, lots of different brands can feel not so comfortable your first day of skating and these not only feel comfortable but they are actually really durable. I usually rip my shoes within’ the first 2 weeks to 3 weeks owning them and these haven’t even shown that much wear. I actually like the way the look but more importantly they skating nicely and are super comfortable. I’ll definitely be buying these a lot more and I recommend them for anyone willing to buy ‘em.

I’ve been looking at these shoes for a while now. I just got back into skating after 20 years of not skating. All the brands i knew are gone or changed. When i went to look for a new skate shoe, this pair is all i ever see pop up aside from Vans and Nike. This review you typed out may have been the deciding factor for me! I wish the logo was smaller though. Thank you!

If you are falling forwards then you need to very slightly lean back and push through the slide. If you are slipping out and falling back then you need to get your weight slightly over the board more 👍😊

@@27398 Thats the only thing they got going and people who are environmentally friendly are not usually skaters. I think its also bad timing too, I believe there are less skaters right now than few years before.

As with anything that gets too much exposure I automatically hate them. Bias sure....but I also don't like the airwalk/converse had a baby look. 89 bucks is not cheap either. Just everything about these shoes bugs me. I feel like they are virtue signaling so hard that we are gonna find out in a few years that the shoes are actually made out of Ethiopian fetuses. Don't let me bring you down if you dig on em though . I am just one old piece of shit in a modern world hanging onto the hate.
