@cuck boyz Because it literally _does not_ make the future better. That's what you're supposed to believe, but all of the companies involved in using any wood a l r e a d y make sure they plant at least as much as they are cutting down, plan ahead for years to come, take into account bad years and poor harvests etc. Not to mention how planting more trees isn't something unlimited or without problems. For example, too many trees in one location means water levels will drop to insanely low levels, causing a lot of trees to just die anyway. There's a pretty significant equilibrium in all of nature with things that are not easily changed or influenced at all. People are delusional if 'planting two trees' offsets any of the pollution shipping of any of these shoes across the globe, let alone manufacturing of these shoes actually does. So yes, it IS all about virtue signalling and 'feeling good'. The amount of packaging materials rivals that of Apple, which isn't good for the environment at all either. Yet the 'premium feel' is more important to Cariuma. Seriously, the whole eco friendly shoe stuff is nonsensical marketing. Oh and the rainforest that's getting cut down, usually is being cut down to make room for tree species that are faster growing species lol. So... guess who benefits from _actually_ cutting down trees over there.

I mean, I see the Nyjah Free 2s pretty much in every skatepark at least a few times. I know Cariuma skate shoes are new, but especially here in Europe I've not seen any yet.

I have never seen anyone wearing these shoes apart from youtubers who get them for free or get a commission when you buy from their link, they are very expensive!

Ive only seen two pairs of Cariumas worn in my local scene, it’s all exclusively only nike sb, vans, new balance, and some adidas.

I’ve skated a lot of skate shoes,including cheap vans and converse, the thing about cariumas is they last much longer than these shoes so the price balences out. For example a pair of vans last me maybe a month or two, three with shoe glue. I’be been wearing and skating my cariumas almost everyday since 3/10/21 and they’re still totally skateable. In fact the tread of the shoe has worn down much more than the actual sides of the shoe where my grip tape hits. If you do a lot of flips cariumas with be just as cost effective in the long run.

@@MegaPerson14 keep your head up and get into the skate scene. You'd be surprised as to how friendly skaters are and how much they want to help beginners progress. He has another page called progress daily. Skaters are another type of brotherhood that for the most part want to help others progress. All of my best friends skateboard and I'd be lost if I didn't get into it 20+ years ago. The best part is that it's never too late to start.

Legit been waiting for the high tops since they started making skate shoes. Rolled my ankle so many times that my last ankle roll took me out for a year. High-tops help me catch/react quicker when my foot is going into that roll motion. It's like I feel the tension of the shoe against my lower leg/upper ankle area starting as my ankle is beginning to roll and I'm able to respond and avoid actually injuring it. Can't wait to try these bad boys out.

I just got mine, they instantly made me a better skater. I could barely ollie before and I'm pretty sure I could now kick flip El Toro if they hadn't skate stopped it. But really, I love them, super comfortable with great board feel and control.

John, sad to say the real heat hasn't really started yet. This is still easy difficulty. It'll be over 100 eventually. The humidity is already killer with all this rain though. Good luck!

I feel you, I think with a product like theirs, since it’s so unique in materials, manufacturing, etc, it’s really difficult to roll out designs quickly like other brands, but I still think design is a bit easier than innovative manufacturing, so I’m sure they’ll make different flavors that appeal to more people eventually.

That's why I was pleasantly surprised when a shoe brand I had only seen in preppy/yuppy circles dive in so hard on skateboarding. I live in Encinitas and my local park is Poods and I have only seen a handful of groms rocking these. No one older really. I mostly just see Nike, Adidas and Vans and few core companies.

As a brazilian who didn't know Cariuma, I loved this video a bit more than the usual.

I've been wearing these damn near everyday for almost a year, on my feet at work all day, they've held up extremely well. It was a rough break in because of how well thick and durable the canvas is, but once that was over they were extremely comfortable. Prolly the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. No problem with toes getting squished. Bout to get another pair. The ones I got are the high top OCAs.

Got em and love em very very durable came with like 4 different laces for 2$, inner sole is ok but could be more cushiony at the front. Yea strongly recommend them haven’t had to patch any holes too 😁. Unlike Nike charges🙄

Not really feeling that logo. I feel skate shoes could be a little bit cooler if they added some vent holes in the shoe so your feet don't get too hot.

You really upped your game for this one, I know making more high energy videos like this take a lot more time and energy but it really makes a difference man. It’s really hard to have a consistent schedule and it’s probably demotivating to spend a long time on a video but when you put more of you into these it totally motivates and inspire me and thousands of others i’m sure.
