There are thousands of people doing the exact same thing and after ten years they became insolvent or hardly can pay rent. So this is not about how to do something right. It is about how Paul has the karma to become rich. Karma to become rich means that in your past life you did good things for other people. So it just happens miraculously. If Paul would have opened a food store he would also be a billionaire right now. It is not about that he did this and that. The question is of course, whether this is the goal of life, to become rich? A life in luxury lasts for maybe twenty, or thirty years or maybe fifty years and when we leave we can't take anything with us.

That’s the thing. Not everyone Can do this, because not everyone wants to be wrong with how they handle their life. Pride will hold you down like a professional wrestler. Millions of people can hear this advice, but how many people can admit they are living the wrong way and come to accept that they will not be miserable. The old saying you have to spend money to make money is painfully true and most people find it too scary to spend big or small on something that make yield absolutely nothing. You got to think things through and you have to be open to suffering, and you have to be able to stand back up after a huge blow/commit to a sinking ship in hopes it can make it back to land. Regardless business risky and I’m not above calling it gambling. Playing it safe is why most people will stick to their safe factory jobs but these jobs sap energy, and usually the safety will prevent trying risky things because all that hard work for the small bag could disappear at one wrong move and they will have to start all over again with the shitty work life balance they really don’t want to do

I worked for Paul and he is such a kind guy. He is so smart it is scary. He knows people and how to treat them, we all wanted to work for him.

"You know what success is? Success is when your kids wanna be with you when they're adults." His words has so much meaning in them and you would have to know a little of everything just to understand what he's saying when he's talking broadly. Even I had a little difficulty comprehending what he means by what he says. Smart fella who's been through a lot.

This was such an insightful interview. Outside of the business accelerates he offered some life lesson on what happiness is outside of money. Peace of mind is truly PRICELESS!!

I love how he’s so relaxed in his answers, no need to prove anything, simple and concise answers without trying to glorify things like so many successful people do. He’s successful beyond most of our wildest dreams yet it’s not even what defines or influences him.. super cool interview.

I greatly appreciated this interview. This man was extremely humble and very personable. His honesty in regards to how owning a business TRULY is was refreshing. We are in a time now where everyone wants to own a business to “buy a Bugatti” but he in the other said, “it’s important you take care of your people”. I also loved that he touched upon it being a huge responsibility and burden instead of a piece of cake.

He seems like a really nice humble guy. He's worth A LOT more than most celebrities, but so many celebrities wouldn't even take the time to sit down & talk with anyone like this because of their arrogance & egos.

The term celebrity is just a term the general public use, it's quite a lazy term as we assume it means they're a movie star or famous. There are plenty of so called "celebrities" who would sit down and have a conversation about money. Buffet, Gates, Musk, the list goes on have all sat down and discussed money and wealth. It's a very healthy thing to do. Never make assumptions about people you don't know, calling them arrogant etc, it reflects worse on you. Happy Christmas and new year man

Great Interview. At the same time, I think that you did not show Paul that you were interested in getting to know him outside of his money and wealth. He mentioned a number of things that you could have elaborated on to make the interview a more interesting and insightful one. For example, when he talked about his favourite employee story, you could see his eyes light up, and he was interested in letting you know the details. You just shifted the conversation to another money conversation, not indicating if you were interested in knowing what he told you, because when people are interested in things, they usually ask questions. Overall, you left a lot of information on the table. You could work on getting to know the person first and then going the business route. I think you'll find that people open more to you, and you can build better connections with these people.

I love Paul's candor. A friend is a friend when they are happy for you. simple yet profound.

the ending comments were his best. 100% agree with the idea of success being defined by our children wanting to spend time with us in the end. we should also look after ourselves so that they can do that with us in a reasonably good way. i was on a walk with my 8yo boy (i am 50yo) today when he exclaimed his enjoyment and gratefulness for our moment together, and as i recount that now, it sinks in just a bit deeper on how important it is to build those moments with our children. it's what builds the foundation for their future. i fear we're living in times where we have allowed ourselves to become disconnected from this importance. i continue to struggle with being present to this.

In 1996 I was 17yrs old working for a carpet cleaning company in LasVegas an I met this guy. He was sitting at a table doing paperwork while I was working around him and he gave me some advice about starting my own restoration business and it was spot on !!! I didn’t realize owned the entire company until this video almost 30yrs later

What a great interview, this is truly a down to earth common sense man who cared about his employees and about the work that he did despite the ups and downs of running a business this is my kind of boss. I had a boss like that in Michigan where I grew up, he was a nice guy in fact, it was the manager of a TV station that hired me. You did a great job Noah and your engineer that I saw reflecting in the fireplace, lol.

This is the 2nd interview I have watched....now a subscriber. Good job Noah.

It's a delicate season now, so you can do little or nothing on your own. Hence I will suggest you get yourself a professional that can provide you with entry and exit points on the securities you focus on.

What an absolutely fantastic interview! Paul is genuine, humble, compassionate, good-hearted, and funny. His take on business, life, what's important and what's not, is so real, and he is a delight to listen to. Just a down to earth human being. If we had more people like Paul on the planet, it would be a much fairer and happier place.

The ending was so awesome. I felt that. I may not have my life together and seemingly stuck at rock bottom but nothing greater in this world from all my highs have ever come close to being called "dad". Great interview.

I like this guy’s attitude. He’s blunt, brutally honest and up front. At the same time he’s smart and savy.

Great interview. Dives deep into what it means to be a business owner, no holds barred. Not just roses and unicorns but difficulty, stress, but it can have it's rewards. "you own your business, don't let you business own you'." Selling the business is really the mountain for a business owner. Found the part about managers really interesting.. Could put a good manager in a bad store and it would become a good store. Take a bad manager and put him in a good store and it would become a bad store..

Amazing discussion and experience sharing . What a great, open and honest guy . I love his simplistic approach, experience and wisdom. ✌

Protecting your capital is much more important than making money. Basically because if you lose your capital, making money is much harder. ''Missing the train'' vs. ''losing your money''. There are a lot of trains, but if your money is gone, it's over.

One of the best interviews since he is a real human, a straight shooter with Johnny Carson hummer.

Yeah, but starting every question with "You sold your company for amount X, how/why/when...", while the interview partner clearly doesn't care about. Like telling them their own address every sentence again and again :P

I love this guy. No glossy exterior, he tells it like it is. The best advice is advice that is uncomfortable to accept.
