How I made my very own carbide scraper with carbide inserts

Ойын-сауық

Hey guys so ever since I got in to machine I’ve wanted to give scrapping ago, even more on the cheap vices I have, but as I look for the commercial scrappers it seems they are unavailable or really expensive so thought I’d go about making my own.
Check it out.

It used to be the first skill for every toolmaking apprentice to learn. Going back 52 years. Wonder what they get taught these days.

Yeah I’d be interested to know that myself, I guess somethings never change, tried and true methods of teaching, but fortunate or unfortunate depends how you look at it. It’s just me myself and I learning in my workshop lol. But I believe having the basic fundamentals in mathematics and the likes it’s very attainable to learn on your own, but with KZread nowadays it makes things all the easier. Watch out for my next video where I take on the DREADED eBay machine vice lol
