Fixing a dial indicator
Ойын-сауық
Hey guys so I picked this up on eBay for £10. But when I got it the plunger was a bit sticky so rather than sending it back I thought I’d try and fix it, as it’s a half decent indicator and for a £10 I can’t complain.
Thanks for watching

Hi Darren. Nice fix from Brian
great buy, good learning, thanks
The way you got that thing back together, and working better than it was is awesome mate! Nice one.

Thanks Brian, yeah I was happy I got it working. Nice to hearing from you, hope your well.
Baty are good quality Darren, they were one of the most used in factories over here before we started seeing Swiss, Austrian and Japanese gear. You got a bargain there. Oil is not a good thing in these, I know it feels like the right thing to do but as it evaporates and decomposes over years, it is one of the main causes of the stickiness you had when you received it. Cheers, Jon🏴

Thanks for the comment Jon, yeah it feels like a solid wee piece, yeah I’ll probably take it apart and clean it up.
