    Good luck on your journey! I’m rooting for you💕 I know it’s hard! I got a lot to say cause I know how you feel. The first time I realized I was overweight I was 8, so life has been a battle since. When I was 10 my doctor told me I’d never be “skinny” and he was right, kind of. I’ve been slimmer, but never skinny, and that’s okay w/ me now. I was ALWAYS trying to change my eating habits to lose weight and it never seemed to work (Atkins diet(basically keto), weight watchers points, 3-day diet are just a few that come to mind). Just remember the scale lies, pay attention to how you feel and look. I’m 27 now and I still have my ups and downs with my weight. I lead an active lifestyle (this year I started hiit with 8-10lbs weights with heather robertson 3xs a week) It’s hard to stay on top of my eating so some weeks I might add an extra workout day for balance) And girl, by the time you my age (or even before) people pretty much catch up, or pass you up in the weight dept anyway. To this day I still watch transformations to keep me motivated. It’s definitely a lifestyle change and I feel like it isn’t fair sometimes that I have to do all of this, but you have to do what you can for you! I figured God gave me my weight problems early enough for me to figure them out. Much love girly💕

    Do not beat yourself up..Things happen, and we have to truly forgive ourselves. Okay, you gained 50, but you kept off 100. Last time you were facing having to lose 150. Now, it is only 50, and you absolutely CAN do this. One meal at a time, one day at a time. Blessed Be! 💜

    Tell me about it, I gained 45 while pregnant then lost 20lbs one month later then gained 40+ lbs. It's ridiculous. And now I'm dieting and exercising and lost almost 30lbs and I'm pumped to keep going. I'm currently 235 and I want to be at least under 200 for now then lose another 20-30

    @@andreanasims Take one day at a time and be patient with myself as far as my eating habits. like meal planning and Rewards for having good self control example have a 1 piece of candy that I like or just hanging out with my friends. Perform spa-like practices( just to treat myself)and practice self confidence you know kind of like a self worth kind of thing because you're doing this for yourself. and doing at home exercises by taking a 30-minute stroll or looking at(doing) exercising videos on KZread I do this 2 times out of one week😊 I'm not trying to overdo it and wear myself out how are used to

    This. The other day I was watching a video of a guy that was fat and “he didn’t get it” because he thought he ate like a “normal healthy” person... dude, no one eat a big ass plate, 3 diet cans, etc. It is about calories! I’ve lost weight while eating McDonald’s in all my meals (I had to work out a lot during those weeks).

    Healthier food has leas calories so you can eat more of it without gaining weight. I believe thats the logic most have but they still gotta take those macros like fats carbs etc

    Hi great job! I started on my journey on Oct.1, 2019. So tomorrow is my one year anniversary. I was 230, I am now 144. I'm trying to get my goal weight of 130 before Christmas. I started with Keto cause my my A1C was 6.7 now it's 4.7 and my cholesterol was 197. It was always around 150. This means I had full T2 diabetes. My doctor said if I could get my numbers down I wouldn't have to take the medicine. She was amazed after 2 months I got my A1C to 5.6. Now She says I weigh less then her. BTW I just turned 60 last month and I've been dieting off and on since I was 20 from 127 to 267. I was 35 when I got married and weighed 160. I was at my highest after having my daughter in 1999. I can fit into size 10 jeans again. I started walking after 3 months into my journey now I added light weights and swimming. You look great, keep up the great work.

    @@janimistri5737 Start walking.. Change your diet. Start small increase weekly adding healthy food to your menu. Really starts with you. You know you want to change live long life? Keep in mind of kids family keep you strong during this journey. Remember everyone body is different what may work for one may not work for you. Meaning don't get discouraged if pounds not falling off as quickly. Do you have support?

    Alternate Day Fasting works for me. 1.5 years ago I was 260 and lost 60 lbs and got to 200 lbs by alternate day fasting. Then I gained 20-25 lbs during pandemic. Today I'm 219lbs and I started alternate day fasting 3 days ago. Gotta get another 60 lbs off before summer! 💪💪💪🔥 Edit: i'm 198 lbs now 👌💥

    That is so interesting to me lol because I’m actually the opposite I gain weight first in my face I have a chubby face kind of. I guess it’s a curse and a blessing because yes it is a curse that I gain weight there fast but it helps me maintain my weight, so I was never obese or extremely overweight but I was overweight and getting to the point of it not being healthy. I still have lots to go but my face looks slimmer and I’m really happy because the double chin was a big NO NO 👎

    Atleast at your heaviest you still took photos of yourself . Last year I noticed I didnt even take pics of myself . Which is very unlike me !! I’m not obsessed with picture taking , but if I look cute I atleast take a selfie. THAT SHIT HAD CEASED 😩🤦🏾‍♀️. Trying to get back to that confidence . You look AMAZING by the way ❤️

    When I had gotten to that mindset I knew I had to make a change. I had wls and it was the best decision I made. I made myself take a before pic and I take a full body pic almost each month to see the change. I’m glad I did so on those days when I don’t think my body has changed, a pic will show me different.     God is so good. I have been praying for a lifestyle change and truly just want to be set free from food and my mentality and way of doing/eating things. This video mysteriously just popped up on my KZread and your video says it took you 6months. It didn’t click until the ending mark of your video that made me SMILE!!! Because it was like God softly whispered to me and said it’s April 2023- 6months from now will be November. By end of year a goal that I set would be accomplished. For me it was always hard for me to set a weight loss goal and follow an actual weight loss journey but I KNOW for a fact that my time is Now!!! It’s now!!! Thanks for posting this!     Great job! I to lost 120lbs in 6 months. People said it was impossible but it’s not if you stay focused. Working out 5 days a week, 4 hours a day A strict diet you can do it and you did it!!!! Very true about a LIFESTYLE CHANGE You look absolutely amazing!

    Learning the difference between hunger and boredom is a big deal. I was a boredom eater as well. I actually still struggle with knowing if I am actually hungry or just bored. Majority of the time I'm just bored. Keto is definitely helping me repair a lifetime of unhealthy eating habits.

    How long did it take you to lose the weight? I'm 5'2 and weigh 214. I started at 230 and worked out about an 1hr for 3x a week and did low carb. But I jus started intermittent fasting with low carb diet about a week ago and I love it.

    Once you realize how bland carbs are once you take away the seasoning/sauces.. they are much easier to give up. Honestly - just think of how plain bread, potatoes, rice and pasta are WITHOUT the spices & sauces... Just use the sauces/spices on meat and low-carb options (like vegetables) and it is just as good! Also there are TONS of sweets that are low carb to satisfy your sweet tooth... and Quest Protein chips are low carb and high protein & taste great! Keto is actually easy.

    Just a tip. Birth control pills puts pounds on me. You may have the same if your on certain birth control pills for health reasons to regulate your cycle or for birth control method. Also you may want to have your hormones check to see if they are at a healthy level & not adding unwanted weight. Wish you the best in your health & beauty journey but you are a beautiful lady!!😍😃

    Eat healthily and if you eat packaged foods read the fat content hydrogenated fat is terrible for weight gain. The lower the fat and sugar content the better. Take up a sport and don't be obsessed a lot of teenagers have a little chub that goes away when their older and taller. The cutest girl's at my school became the least attractive in our twenties

    You got this! Be mindful about what you put into your mouth and move more. Get some Bluetooth headphones and tell your parents to sign you up for the gym or start power walking around the neighborhood to start. If you have an iPhone look at your daily steps in the Health app and set a goal to move more.

    That was sad to read. Tell your daughter as the original responder said, “ she is dark and lovely”. I have twin daughters, one darker complexion and the other light complexion. I am so grateful that while I grew up in a “color struck” family, I did not grow up in a color struck home. I have a dark older sister and a lighter older and sister and I fall in the middle and our parents never compared our looks. We never knew what colorism was or had never heard of it until our late twenties and early thirties. People will put their insecurities on you through their terrible words but please tell your girl that she has an immense power and that is choosing what words matter to her and she gets to choose how people treat her by setting boundaries. Thanks for posting, now I am able to be proactive with my approach as opposed to reactive. Take care and tell that baby she is BEAUTIFUL, SPECIAL and PRECIOUS everyday!

    I have a beautiful chocolate baby girl too and it is so important to teach them to embrace their skin ... And I make sure I tell her everyday how beautiful her complexion is and let her know there is ignorance out here but it stems from. Jealousy! And the most beautiful and rich in heritage have the deeper tone and are closer to the Lord. I'm very jealous in a good way of my baby. I always wished I had a darker complexion.. being lighter I got stereotyped as thinking I was all that or prettier or "acting white" it was cruel things spewed my way too. My wish for all. Black people or people of color to embrace all shades.. acknowledge and uplift and celebrate the many shades we come in.. it's a beautiful gift from God that no other race can receivo have among them. We come in all these different forms of variety it's just... Beautiful.. from eye color to hair texture and yet we all. Come from. 1 race.. 1 source... 1 ❤️ be blessed and tell that beautiful baby she is regal and beautiful ... Her ancestors said so😉

    @@Ms.2prettyyy I do the 16:8 where you fast for 16 hours and eat during an 8-hour period. You can work your way up to it. Start fasting for 12 hours then work your way up to 16. I started with a cutoff point for eating (7pm), then I wouldn't eat until like 9 am, then 10 am, until I could make it to 11 am. Drinking water in the morning helps.

    Grats to you!! I started cutting carbs, sugar, and fast food in late June and I am down 38 pounds so far. I have started lowering my carbs further to a Ketosis level. I have another 39 pounds to go. I started at 217 pounds and am now down to 179... doctor says that 140 would be perfect weight for me. Keep going girl you got this.

    I'm currently doing a water fasting regimen, and I've lost 35lbs. and 26 1/2 in. in just 2 months! Haven't done any exercise at all or changed my diet yet (I'm waiting to get to a more comfortable size, then add weightlifting and light cardio/yoga, plus I can't do much damage eating since my stomach has shrunk) but I plan to do low carb/modified keto. I think the guy you were talking about is Thomas Delauer, and I follow him, too! I also follow A Healthy Alternative, and this is what started me on my fasting journey. The host Chris James and his fasting interviewees are super inspiring! They also talk about fasting to help remedy loose skin, so I would encourage anyone to safely try that first before going under the knife (I'm a surgical tech by trade, but I don't want to be cut on if I don't have to, and neither should you)! So proud of your accomplishments and you look absolutely gorgeous; subscribed! ♡ Edit: 41lbs. now, as of 09/26/20!

So I sort of made up a fasting regimen that works for me from one of the ladies I watched that was interviewed on A Healthy Alternative...can't remember her name, but if you get to watch it, she's a lovely black woman from Belize with a beautiful sing-song accent. Anyway, she would continuously fast and have refeed (grubbing, lol) days in between, so I did the same. I do odd numbers, so 7, 5, 3, 1, 3, 5, 7, 5, 3, 1, etc., meaning I water fast 1 week (lost 17lbs. from the first week alone!), next (8th) day eat whatever I want however many times I want for a day, then a 5-day water fast, eat day, 3-day water fast, eat day, 24 hr water fast, eat day, 3-day water fast, so on, and so forth. It's the most doable thing I've ever tried, and it's almost criminal that people are just finding out about this when fasting has been done the world over almost as long as people have existed! If what I do seems too strict or too much for you, watch the various interviews on A Healthy Alternative; one of their methods may speak to you and start you on your own fasting journey! My sister, who's diabetic, is doing this with me, and she's lost 20lbs. so far, but she water fasts no more than 1-3 days in a week. She still eats twice a day on her non-fasting days, but her A1C and blood sugar is in normal range, and she's off her diabetic meds! Remember, neither of us is exercising while doing any of this yet (unless you call grocery shopping in Aldi's or running free in Target exercise, lol)! Most advise to slowly drink a gallon of water throughout the day, but everyone can't always make that amount initially, so just take your current weight, divide it by 2, and drink the amount you get in ounces daily. Depending on the size of water bottle you use (mine is 24oz), divide your daily ounces by the bottle's ounces, and you'll know the minimum amount of bottles you need to drink in a day for your body to function properly. Slowly increase your intake until you can finish a gallon a day. This may sound weird, but I would also advise talking to a counselor or a behavioral therapist during your weight loss; since much of our weight comes from upheavals in our lives, or unresolved issues...it absolutely goes hand in hand with sustained weightloss. I hope this info helps, and I'm so excited for you to take these steps towards transforming your life! Good luck, ladybug! ♡

    That’s crazy how ppl lose weight like that without stepping foot in the gym. I work out for 2 hours n a half & got a trainer & I haven’t lost weight yet it’s been two months. I do look smaller but the scale isn’t going down. I’m convinced eating is basically the holy grail, but eating healthy is hard for me since you have to eat so much during the day 😫. But I’m just going to take it one day at a time 😫 hopefully something will shake. & I’m def down to join a group I need help with eating as well I’m not a cook and I get discouraged easily because with healthy meals you have to eat more.     Eating well was the key for me because I’ve lost 55 pounds and I don’t go to the gym either. I don’t restrict myself either or I’ll feel deprived and that’s when it all goes downhill lol.

    It was the backrolls for me !! I didn't even realise I was getting back rolls and then one day boom I'm like shooot is that how by back be looking lol

    hearing your personal preferences with your approach makes me feel very seen. like i also don't like telling people about things until i see it actually works, and i don't like counting calories cause it gets to my head too, etc. i hope that i can follow in your footsteps somehow to lose my weight for good. i've also been big my whole life but i want to finally change something to feel better about myself. great job on your journey and i love your confidence! thanks for sharing your story.

    This is absolutely amazing. You have no idea how much you have just inspired me. I've done keto before and it was one of the worst decisions in my life to stop it and you just motivated me, even more, to push myself to get back on it. I'll be going back to it next Monday.     Brittaney Reid yes!! I’m an anti bacon ketoer now lol I think people get so caught up in the heartiness and indulgence of the diet they forget those foods are usually still heavily processed and may react poorly in their body and slow down progress

    I don't eat beef or pork either but I could never get the hang of keto. What else do you eat? I love the egg and cheese waffle idea with Turkey bacon. I have 100 lbs to lose. Help.

    I so feel you on not liking carrying weight un your face. Thats how I knew it was time to make a change neow! For me a chubby face makes me look older which is a no go! 👎🏾

    Sis you look good 😍 I’m on my weight loss journey. I’m staying in a calorie deficient 12-1500 calories a day. I feel like it’s easier to sustain and make a lifestyle. I’ve been big all my life as well 😭 I also started workout 5x a week 30min cardio 30min resistance training. I literally watch every thing I put into my body 😩 I don’t even eat out anymore. I’m 3 weeks in 😊💪🏾 I’ll keep y’all updated

    👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I was CLAPPING in the beginning when you said you was confident from the beginning... that right there is the reason I felt like I couldn’t relate to most of the women with weight loss journeys (a lot of them don’t feel confident and use weight loss as their reason to gain confidence) I’m confident no matter my size too ... my reason to lose weight is different tho... I have several and all of them are health related. I can’t do keto for health reasons but I am going to try intermittent and or alternate fasting... I enjoyed listening to your journey and thanks for letting us hear it.😊

    Omg me too. Around the end of 2019 i was eating nothing in the day and would eat like total garage at night. Im starting my weight loss journey finally now. Im started at like 240 and now i lost 10 pounds so far

    I did alternate fasting for 3 months and made the mistake of telling my coworkers. They were all in my business of what i ate, didnt eat, how can I do this, etc. It just threw me off. This time around..I will do quietly.

    Intermittent fasting really does work I did it 16:8 and lost about 10 pounds during. It helped me to control my eating, I use to overeat so bad.

    josh c when coming to intermittent fasting it took my about 6 weeks for the ten pounds to drop off. In the beginning I started with Herbalife I don’t use it anymore which helped me to lose weight as well. But it was to much pressure for me lol. Now I’m down 25 pounds!

    Same, it helped control my snacking tendencies and eating late at night. I have actually tweaked it to about 19:5, and that's my happy spot.

    I used to think 16:8 was going to be too hard for me, but I naturally started doing it when I went keto. It's so much easier than I thought. And the weight has begun to fall off.

    I was watching the news today and they were saying that IF doesn't really work, but YOU are proof that it can work for some people. I've always been doing IF before it was a "thing", I simply am not a breakfast eater. I would eat lunch and dinner and I was good. After doing my macros I found out that Keto is not meant for my body type, but I can still do 40, 40, 30 IF. You look great before and after.
