Angel, thank you for sharing this information. I am in Southern California and miserable. My amazing brave son passed last summer and I am lost. I have lived on islands before and know that is my happy place. I have fears but must do this for my wellbeing. Barbados is calling.

Another interesting interview however, I must admit I’ve seen Jamila on another expat KZread channel. I’m glad Jamila admitted that despite Barbados being a majority black population, there is definitely still a very dominant (colonial) money structure in Barbados especially very pronounced on the West Coast hence the Platinum coast tag. It’s wonderful to see and hear about the ever growing expat black community in Barbados but there are still some issues expats wont experience in comparison to born and bred bajans. But as I always say and I’m truly biased bajan people are wonderful people and wherever you are from you will always be welcome. So pleased to see the channel going from strength to strength, looking forward to more interviews.
