I had asthma and allergies for 40+ years. Sometimes extremely chronic and caused bad insomnia at night. I knew dust affected me. Was hospitalized with bronch. pneumonia as a child. Eventually my primary care doc gave my Advair, Qvar, Albuterol etc.... Went to allergist and pomologist and did sleep study. The allergist told me I was allergic to dust mites. This helped me to some degree as I was able to mitigate the effects somewhat (mattress cover, Hepa Vacuum, Air purifier). I told the allergist that I thought certain foods contribute to my asthma (loved and ate a lot of "healthy cereals" such as granola, raisin brand, wheat brand, organic cereal). The allergist insisted that foods to not contribute to asthma and wanted to put me on prilosec. Luckily I knew better. Do not get stuck on an acid blocker long term. My sleep and asthma got worse and worse. The absolute game saver for me which probably saved my life was buying The Paleo Cure book by Chris Kresser, a functional doctor. I did an elimination diet (as described in the book) and cut out all processed foods, all grains, pasta, sugar, fake foods, all low fat foods, added health fats (olive oil, avacados etc.... Slowly re-introduced some foods. Fortunately, I always like healthy real foods, but I was just never fully educated about the bad foods. Eat only real foods that God put on earth, no food-like substances. God did not create a Dorito/Pringles Tree... Slowly and slowly I got better and within a year was off asthma meds. Changing my diet, adding probiotics and trying to control indoor toxins solved my asthma after 40+ years of suffering. I still carry an inhaler (as a binky), but use it less than 5 times a year (mostly preventatively if I am sick). I truly hope others can be helped by my experience as I wish I knew 40 + years ago what I know now. You can solve the problem by finding the root cause. Wishing you the best.💜

Man I have dust mite allergy too, which by the doctors opinion caused my asthma. I have smoked for five years too, but I quit before I got my symptoms. It probably helped me to develop asthma. But I am only 23 now and have been suffering for the last 2 years very much. The very specific problem I have is that I cannot stand chemical smells. Especially perfumes, cigarette smoke, any other smoke. I do not visit my UNI classes no more because of perfumes and fragrances. They worsen my asthma so much and cause air being trapped in my lungs. So many sleepless nights and ruined days of my prime youth. Dust allergy also inflammed my upper throat, so I have sore throat 80% of the time. I have constantly protected neck with a scarf, sometimes even in the summer. I only eat warm food and drink warm water. My throat is always a bit red and itchy and very cold sensitive. And if I catch a cold it can on for weeks. It is a curse and it totally killed my social life and even caused a break up with my girlfriend. She said she cannot live with me like that anymore. That almost destroyed me and put me thru hell and huge depression. I may have developed a bit of psychosomatic disorder, but I know it is not just that. I simply be rather left alone at home with my family than go out and come back half-suffocated because of the smells, cig smoke etc. I am on immunotherapy now, but since it takes 3-5 years to take affect, I also must optimize all other realms of health. I generally eat healthy food and have done sport all my life. Docs are always shocked when they see me. But I am inspired by your story now and will do everything it takes to get back to a level where I could at least live semi normal life. I dont care if I have to eat some dull diet for another 3 years, as long as I can have a decent life after that. I will do yoga and breathing exercises 10 times a day if needed, I dont care. Also I wanna know something. Did you have problems with chronic throat inflammation? did the smells drastically affect you? I can sense my situation is a bit unique, but so are a lot of asthmas and allergies examples. I never got a itchy skin, but it seems that that fucking dust mite penetrated my air ways. Thank you for sharing your story, it gave me hope. Also to the others, I hope you fight and do all it takes. There is no other way. You must optimize everything and believe! Without belief there is no victory. I also recommend book HOW YOUR MIND CAN HEAL YOUR BODY, by DAVID R. Hamilton. Also read THE WIM HOF METHOD. It will give you confidence to fight this curse. Psychological approach is very important with all diseases and asthma is no different. Love to you all !!!

@@lp1076 I'm so sorry for what you've been through. I'm having a very bad time too. I also have allergies for dust and cats. And I have a cat she is with me like 8 years but its making my allergic asthma very bad. At three o'clock at night, I finally found myself crying while watching this video. Even though I'm on my medication, it's like I'm not making any progress, which frightens me even more and makes me feel depressed. But I also believe very much in the healing power of the mind. I have read many articles on it. I believe that if the body can create disease in an instant, it can also create health in an instant. If we can get sick in an instant, we can get better in a moment. I just wanted to convey my love and respect. We are all in this together, we are not alone. We will get better!

@@melodiyesi1485 If you are allergic to cats and dust, you have to mitigate exposure to these things as everyone is different and you are clearly allergic to these items. Medication is just going to mask the symptoms and is not going to solve the root cause of the problem. You have to eliminate the root cause of your allergy. Yeah, the power of the mind is important, but you can not 100% think, wish or pray yourself out of a situation if your body has a known specific allergy. In a way, you are lucky as you know your allergens, now you need to eliminate them as much as possible and hopefully, you will slowly get better. If you had a peanut allergy, you would not take medication and continue to eat peanuts. You would quit eating peanuts. For your own health, you have to get rid of the cat , give to a friend or family member if possible. I had a friend who had major sinus, running nose problems for years. He had a dog, a Husky. He later moved out of the family house (no dog) and his symptoms went away. Buy mattress, box spring covers, declutter your room, no carpeting, get a good HEPA vacuum, an air purifier (Blue Air ?). Just my opinions. Sending positive thoughts and love 💜 You can do it !!!!! and you deserve the best health as possible. Only you can make the changes. You are your best advocate.

Thank you so much for this! I suffered with asthma off and on since my twenties. I'm on a vegan diet and when I was eating only whole, organic vegan foods and running for exercise, I was in the best health of my life. Asthma was non-existent. Now I'm still on a vegan diet, but I don't eat as healthy and eat some of the packaged vegan foods instead of whole foods and I'm feeling the difference. I'm also not in the best shape I used to be and not exercising regularly. My asthma is now back and this is a wake up call. I'm going to get back into exercising and incorporating all the suggestions that you made and get back to better health. Thank you so much!

Hi Jennifer. Have just read your message on KZread. I Fully understand just how Yes really scary asthma can be. I have been rushed to hospital twice, the first time lasted 13 days. I was in a bad way. So I do understand how you have felt. I have been very interested in How asthma starts. What and How! For me it has been I believe Trauma due to a car crash in Perth Aussie, and Very High stress also much later 1990’s. Phew! BUT I say in life… Never give in and never Ever give up. Because my beliefs are There is A cure for Everything. Today Scientists May say NO. But Tomorrow, they say WE HAVE FOUND THE CURE. They do, And will on All medical problems. Things that help me. Get help from family / friends / doctors to Heal from Stress. Love thy SELF More, even A Lot More. It does Help. Looking in the mirror Each day a few times and Saying…. I AM COMPLETELY HEALD, and Repeat. It does help A LOT. Because sicknesses INSIDE US don’t like Being Kicked OUT OF US. Asthma Hates DUST / AND COLD Temperatures IT DOES NOT LIKE. A great help is SYMBICORT. That is a Powder Inhaler. Sublutimul does nothing for me. Prayers I always say each day, as is said, Keep praying UNTILL something happens. I DO KNOW TRULY that prayers ARE heard. I have seen The Carpenter (as I refer to others) from Nazareth. Completely Honestly. He told me, I will be alright I will be OK. Oh just to say that I have NEVER taken Silly drugs. NO NO NO. I will say A Very Strong prayer for you this day for you to COMPLETELY HEAL. Wishing YOU to Heal Jennifer and that you Do have a Wonderful 2024 All year through. And that All of Your prayers and needs are given to you. And Don’t forget Love Jennifer A lot. Thank you! 👏😄. I’m just being supportive! Stay Safe be Well Warm and Smiling. JB. Surrey. UK.

Interesting. I use an ebike to get fresh air and exercise to the point of barely needing my puffers. Now I have to prevent my heat rate from going too high while exercising even though I'm not out of breath. I wasn't expecting this change in my body but if you do decide to take up an activity that lets you breathe better it's important to pace out routines and let your cardio catch up. It's always tempting to mash up that hill and not be triggered. Never felt better though.

same story here I’m in the same situation here i had it in my childhood, grew out of it when I turned 12 years old, came back in my adult years, well I take organic ginger powder, boil water with 2 head of garlic, and put at least one 1 tbs of power ginger 1 tsp organic turmeric and if you like add raw honey, which honey is very good it has a lot of benefits and it’s great for the lungs, at least 1 learned that on KZread with Dr Mandell he also talked about Herbs like mullein, which I’m ready to go buy, which is pretty much the same thing boil water and add mullein, tea is great for asthma, Green tea caffeinated, hope that help, Blessings 😊🙌

Very helpful. Isolation was not helpful from the pandemic which broke my exercise routine and diet. Cutting out breads, dairy, refined sugars, grains and toxic seed oils. Meat and vegetables only, eating clean. Start with all the inflammatory foods your body is reacting too and exercise to move them out Why complicate it by adding more toxic chemicals from pharmaceuticals.

It is helpful to change to a clean healthy diet . kzread.info/dash/bejne/mY5tqJWfobi4cdI.html It will definitely reduce overall inflammation in your body. Avoid any allergens as best u can. Buy mattress, box spring covers for dust mites, declutter your room, no carpeting, get a good HEPA vacuum, an air purifier (Blue Air ?). Wash bedding in hot water. Chemicals bother me as well. I use vinegar and water and baking soda and water to clean and have had very bad reactions to VOC and chemicals. I had bad acid reflux and post nasal drip, used Tagamet and inhalers short term, but changing to a Paleo diet got rid of acid reflux and Post nasal drip over about 1 year. Everyone is unique, just stick with natural healthy things and use medication as a bandaid when things are really bad. I am not an Einstein, just giving u my opinions as I know everybody is different. Just have to now solve insomnia (poor stress response) now. Sending positive thoughts and

Wanted to share my experience with vitamin d supplementation.I still can't breathe as deep and good like before asthma but the frequency of my asthma attacks have absolutely become zero.Even if i do get any attack(due to excessive smoke exposure) that's very less intense.Take about 20,000 iu vitamin d daily, and don't forget 200 mcg vitamin k2 to avoid any side effects of this much vitamin d

Thanks for sharing this, I was taking vitamin d3 for a few weeks at 8000 iu with vit k2 but was wondering why I still couldn’t breath deeply, so maybe that’s why. As far as I know I’ve never had an asthma attack just constant dyspnea all the time for the past year think it went away early 2023 but came back, tightness of chest and shallow breathing, still trying to find things that work for me been going for walks cutting carbs down and refined sugars excess sugars, taking omega 3 turmeric ginger garlic all of that going to keep going and see if it helps. I took corticosteroid inhaler which they told me to use a few months ago when I got diagnosed asthmatic and for 20 years I didn’t know I even had asthma and had symptoms starting over year ago late 2022, but I had stopped using it few months ago as my symptoms after a month were the same and all they told me to do was up the dose which I didn’t want to do because of side effects, I might start taking the inhaler every few days too because it’s not going away, and I’ve increased vit d3 to 10,000 iu and will increase until 20,000, I also might try doing more intensive exercise
