How fishing lures work (underwater fishing lures)
Спорт
Underwater fishing lure footage and how different types of fishing lures work. There are a ton of kinds of fishing lures and it's easy for a beginner to be confused with all of the options. How do fishing lures work and what are all these different baits for? Here we review many common types / categories of fishing lures and plastic baits including crankbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, jigs, and more to explain how a fishing lure works. We also test their action with underwater camera video footage of how these lures work to catch fish.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzread.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Finally someone actually explained all the different types and classes of fishing lures. Took me for ever to get a straight answer on the difference between, a crank-bait and a jerk-bait. And you’d be surprised how fun it is to design your own inline spinners! Made some with weedless hooks that can have small swimbaits or curly-tails loaded on! 😁

In case any complete newbie is wondering, the deep diving crankbaits he's using aren't going deep because he's keeping the line short and up (fixed) just for demonstration. Also, if you are just starting out, it's more important to learn strategy and reasoning (what type of lures to use, where and when to use them) than just buying fancy and pretty looking lures which are expensive. Fish will literally bite lumps of plastic, so don't worry about how real something looks to you. Save your money and if anything, build a wider arsenal of types of lures.
@FishingwithNat
Жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree. And yes, the lures are diving as deep as they can with only ~6ft of line out.

Hi Sport. This really is the best video I've seen on lure action. The slo-mo is exceptionally good where you can the spoon rocking side to side, and not spinning, and the spinner-blade spinning around the shaft, and not the shaft (and hook) itself. Top notch, Sir. Raymondo.

This is a most useful video . Over a lifetime's fishing I have used most of these lures but I'm glad you showed us the action of these using a slow retrieve as well. Some of them look more realistic ( to me) on the slower retrieve. The jig head ones look very realistic on retrieve. If I'd seen this footage in my younger days I'd have saved some money and possibly caught many more fish. Most educational and entertaining . Thank you so very much.
