I always wondered if the DK bongo controller was just a heavy, awkward piece of plastic, or if they could actually be serviceable bongos. It would be cool if that game got someone into actually playing bongos.

The bongos are very light weight, and only make a dull thump sound when you strike them. They don't resound anything like normal bongos. Also there's a microphone in the center so you can clap. So actually you have 5 controls. Left strike, Right strike, together strike, drumroll, and clap. Sucks IMO.

Someone has probably already mentioned it but Donkey Kong Country 2 is called Diddy's Kong-Quest. Not Diddy Kong's Quest. I made the same mistake for years until I heard someone say it correctly in another KZread video. To say the least, my mind was blown. XD

I also have bongo cats. They seem to tolerate their human's odd behavior, most of the time.
