I struggle with this. Looking at a higher time frame sounds like a good idea. I trade lower time frames as budget dictates. Have been thinking of checking the higher time frame to see if my stop loss looks reasonable once my trade gets close to target.

Definitely one of the better teachers on here. I pay attention to entry points and plan exit before even buying in. Pennystocks can be profitable, not junk stocks but I usually stick to stocks under $5, a few under $10 and hardly ever $1.20. I keep to pretty stable stocks, buying near to support and setting sell targets within the resistance. I'm currently doing a $5,000 dollar trading Challenge for stocks only under $5...you can see my video on the Challenge along with videos on being profitable in trading.

Hello from Newfoundland...Newfoundland dogs are amazing, gentle giants. We have so many stories of them rescuing people around the island. There’s even a statue of one in my hometown. I was amazed to see several during a trip to the UK. Cheers!

In my opinion, every pattern is in someway, a volatility pattern ; And one should have more sens for fluidity in patterns, they can be deformed... the question is, which is more important, volume or volatility... ? Volatility is cyclical, said Bollinger.

I don't try to run trades longer. I scalp. I choose a profit taking and stop bracket with the size depending on the volatility and focus on adding contracts to the same setups to make more money.

Execute your entry & exits via the daily chart towards end-of-trading-day OR market-open based on excellent trade setup. Once in the trade use intraday 10min,1hr, 4hr to gauge unseen (in the daily charts) weakness or strength/continued strength at the end of each trading day, together with what the chart is looking like on the daily. Every Thurs/Fri give the weekly chart a good look to see how you're ending the week going into the weekend. Sit on the sidelines during earnings & major news events. - Sincerely, a successful technical analytical trader. =) BTW, you can't execute on any of my above, if you're not an educated technical trader who knows how to make heads or tails at what you're looking at on a chart. I use intraday charts for entry & exit points when in doubt.

I feel like I'm going crazy but after studying you and others for months now, I managed to create a system that gets me 8% P&L per day on crypto. I can't explain it. Part of it is exactly what you're talking about here, though. Just letting the trade play out and letting my set take profit and stop loss percentages work themselves out. I do not disrupt, I do not interact. When it's set, it plays out. The only thing that is unique is the automatic trailing take profit, so it will ride those boom boom candles. Someone tell me I'm crazy and this is unsustainable. Please.

Trading is discomfort - embrace it. You want to cut a winner quickly and you don't want to take the pain of a loss so you let the trade 'breathe'.
