Thinking About Stops Differently. Putting your entries where others have their stops. What do I mean by that? You need to think about the bigger picture and about the majority are putting their stops. Consider whether that is a place where you should be doing the entry? Should be doing the opposite of what the crowd is doing? When we're talking about standard market conditions like mean reversion, range expansion..etc - doing what everyone is doing isn't going to give you the returns you want. OK..

This essentially one of the ways that I trade. I think of it as a trend continuation fake-out. I'll draw S/R lines on the shorter TF and analyze the higher TF for a strong trend. When price breaks Support or Resistance opposite of the trend direction, I'll enter in the direction of the trend which is counter to where price it heading with a stop based on 2x the ATR of the entry TF starting at the S/R break. It's a great approach and not widely used.

Catching them pin bars.. Then zooming out to higher time frame and still a pin bar entry.. Absolute joy..

Much more aggressive too, bc for the price to dip at that area where the stop is that you will convert to an entry, it would actually be indication stock is not going to keep running up or breakout higher

3:10 "missing a trade" is the wrong way to look at it. The set-up didn't appear so there was no trade for you. Unless you didn't execute on your setup when it appears then you haven't missed a trade because there unlimited trade opportunities in the market.

I tried it before. Doesn't work. In the end if you make 100$ with normal setup then you tried to enter trade differently. It's still 100$ after several trades

How about the idea of using the same logic for you SL as you would for your entry? Say you main strategy are swings HH HL and LL LH etc. you can now adjust or tighten your SL and be more flexible with the market in front of you. And perhaps we as retail traders are too focused on how many pips or ticks we can squeeze out of a trade, where in reality, the market conditions determine that. So instead, focus on what is in your control, your SL (when price unconfirm your entry "idea") and risk management obviously. It's about having a more defensive mindset.
